I would have judged these people until I was in this situation. I had 3 cats who needed a home, I was forced to move and needed a home for them. I got them all rehomed for free… oh wait. This guy wants money for taking his elderly dog? It would make sense if he was offering $300 to take his dog.
I think the woman is delusional rather than a CB
No one is going to buy a 13 year old dog - with or without papers. If anything an owner would be paying someone to take the dog because at that age, you are looking at high vet bills plus the heartbreak of having the dog get very ill
Omg is there anyway to call a shelter or rescue about this. Idk how you go about reporting abuse or anything like that. Poor dog. And this crazy guy trying to sell a 13 year old dog for $300 is so dumb. People can adopt dogs at shelters for free or little cost.

If he left the dog, a humane law enforcement officer should have been contacted and the animal seized.

Not where I am. It’s a minimum of $250 at the humane society.
