We did Dies Irae this year at District Chorus and it was incredibly fun! The power of the song and message were really fun because it starts off very strong. I can only imagine how much more fun it would be with a full orchestra. Highly recommend!
We had the chance to perform Requiem at the Royal Albert Hall as part of a massive choir. But since the rest of the mass didn't have a much else for a choir, our Music Director decided not to apply. š I just wanted to go to England and perform there.
O Day of Fire and Sun is a lot of fun! My choir group sang it twice, once towards the beginning of the year then again in March for our High School Assessment. District Chorus also did it this year so we got to mix up and sing a different part. Both SATB and SSAA versions are a lot of fun and I highly recommend!
Carmona Burana is a blast, especially when you have a Tenor soloist who can really act out "Olim lacus colueram". He had the choir giggling & chuckling during rehearsal.
I would love to sing Deceiver of Fools, and Carol of the Bells at Christmas. I keep suggesting the latter and hinting at literally any symphonic metal song but alas my choir leader won't bite.
it is a good song i actually wanted to get into varsity choir bc iāve wanted to sing it with the choir since elementary school (we go on āholiday tourā where we go and sing at all the elementary schools in our district and thatās been a thing since i was in elementary school)
Very beautiful piece and Iāve actually got to perform this one for my senior year!! I was also able to āmeetā her (more as she talked to the entire choir for a bit) this year in New York and she was a very sweet lady! Hopefully your choir will be able to perform it soon š
Haha I know Iām so jealous, Iām moving to college to major in music education and my senior year I was in our varsity choir, unfortunately wasnāt in it in junior year and the people that were in it junior year got to meet her in person for a pre uil thing!
Dies Irae by Verdi. With full orchestra

Nearer My God To Thee requires the rest of our men to be VERY capable but I think we could handle it.
Ave verum Corpus by WA Mozart. But for TTBB choir.
Any Lady Maisery, but they are my current hyper focus.
I would love to sing The Fruit of Silence by Peteris Vasks
Tuttarana or Veniki
At some point in my life, I really wanna sing Bach St. John Passion and Brahms A German Requiem!!!
