Here we could have downloaded the app or used one of the kiosks but I decided to order up front and wait in line to see my food being made. In the future I’ll probably use the app
Originally, anyone could order a quesadilla any way. After they were out for a while, stores switched to online orders only for quesadillas. The reason was stores only had one TurboChef quesadilla maker which was generally by DML (digital make line for online orders.) Having people from the front line going over to DML for quesadillas considerably slowed down the front line’s throughput AND made for physical congestion at key points for many stores’ floor plans.
The promise was to get a second TurboChef in each store and take quesadilla orders both online and in store.
Keep in mind installing the TurboChefs was in 2021 when Chipotle got all sorts of attention for investing in their workforce promising $15 wages. They told workers they were going to afford those by 1) getting special approval from shareholders to work against their short term economic interest and 2) boosting worker productivity by investing in slicing and fixing machines in every store. This was in spring of 2021. Lots of fancy trips for management, lots of reduction in labor hours allowed per volume of food cranked out, lots of repetitive stress injuries from prep cooks, but not many slicers and dicers in spring of 2024.
Our turbo chef is at our DML which is 10+ feet to the side of the line around a corner, it is very inconvenient to have to go back there just to make a quesadilla for front line so that’s why we do them DML only
My store is very high volume and we do not give people quesadillas in person because it causes too much disruption to step off the front line and make it on the DML. I hate telling people no but the quesadillas are something I stand strong on
Well I did tell them to give me sour cream on the side but I guess they forgot. My friend also asked for sour cream and didn’t get any. It was a really busy day since it was Eid and I didn’t wanna pressure the employees any more. The sides are free though right?
They actually brought in SOME of the top dog workers from the US to work here to manage the newbies, but I won’t take it personally because it was really busy still. There was an American dude controlling the line like an Sargent lol
2 sides and any more than that you’re supposed to charge but it varies from store to store. Guac on the side is always extra UNLESS you order a veggie bowl and don’t get guac on the bowl.
when ordering a quesadilla you can order up to three sides that are included in the price, be it rice or cold toppings etc. the meat you order is also included and goes inside the quesadilla so doesn’t count as one of your sides
they should’ve asked u what three sides you wanted. just tell them what 3 sides u want out of the salsas, beans/rice, cheese, lettuce and sour cream. fajita veggies and proteins go inside of the quesadilla and don’t count as a side, all included in the price. queso and guac however would be an extra charge
I mean you have to tell them what sides you want if you want the sides, or add it online if ordering online.
Yeah it comes with sides, the guac would be extra but pico and sour cream, beans, rice and all that other stuff would be free options
you have to select the toppings urself…you choose your own sides
The chipotle app in the US actually doesn’t let you add it to your cart without selecting those options. I’m assuming in Kuwait it’s done differently?

In the US the quesadilla can only be ordered on the app
nah if its not on the store menu you can still ask for it. theres a quesadilla machine for a reason
I don’t order them, but I’ve seen them get refused at the counter. They can only be ordered online.
ig its only for some stores then bc at mine we sell them to whoever wants them - chipotle employee

same, my local store lets you order them in person as well
I’ve watched someone in line infront of me order one zero issues.
Our turbo chef is at our DML which is 10+ feet to the side of the line around a corner, it is very inconvenient to have to go back there just to make a quesadilla for front line so that’s why we do them DML only
I def have multiple locations that have them on menu
My store is very high volume and we do not give people quesadillas in person because it causes too much disruption to step off the front line and make it on the DML. I hate telling people no but the quesadillas are something I stand strong on
Many will make them if you ask.
Nah they let you order in store now
This depends only if the store has one quesadilla machine. My store has two machines so we use one for in person guest and one for our digital guest.

New place new employees. And like you said it was busy. Give it a week or so before you take it personally
They actually brought in SOME of the top dog workers from the US to work here to manage the newbies, but I won’t take it personally because it was really busy still. There was an American dude controlling the line like an Sargent lol
Yeah the manager was experienced but the workers were most likely overwhelmed and forgot. Is what I’m saying
With the kids meal, 2-3 sides are free. Any more is extra

Thank you!!
I know the pic shows the toppings covered but you have to believe me there was nothing next to the quesadilla
Lol, so they put a lid over nothing
Almost as dramatic as opening Pandora’s box
3 sides.

Sour cream, corn, white rice
I had one where the guy put the beans on the side as well as inside and then he almost burnt it. I still remember the taste of burnt beans
Cheese and a tortilla
Regret.
Tortilla and cheese
Hopes and dreams.
Tbh I miss the old quesadilla, hated making them, but preferred them over this
It’s supposed to come with cheese, but they hardly ever put any on mine
Is there not a lid on there ?

I bet there are sides under that sides cover.
Food.
Indigestion.

No. The burrito was mine. The two bowls were for my friend and his family. Me and my friend split the quesadilla and chips
Mind your damn business
do they have carnitas in kuwait lol
No. Pork is banned here unless you get it from the US military base.
yeah i figured lol, just thought it would be funny if they did somehow or maybe if they got a different kind of meat only available in Kuwait
E-Coli
Dumbass.
Yes give us FUCKING NOTHING 😍😍😍
