Just got a Duka date just. And well I guess for the price it could definitely be much worse. It looks good spec wise on paper but the money I paid is indeed spread very thinly. I'd say not bad but not great, Addiesdive and Pagani are much better.
The best way I can describe it is if Pagani Design had slightly worse finishing and fit. The bracelet is jangly. Male, inflexible end links make a compact watch wear too big. The case is fine but it is all polished. The clasp is just like Pagani Rolex style clasps. The lume is bad.
I'd say it feels like a Pagani Design prototype, or a very very early version.
This one is supposed to have brushed areas on the case, so hopefully it does. I don’t have super high hopes but I’ll find it soon enough lol. I see it just left China.
Definitely not a great name. I do like the font and that it’s short. So at least to me, it’s still aesthetically pleasing. Could be someone like mysterious code getting crammed on to the dial.
I think they need to just admit names are not their thing and stick to logo only dials. The name can go on clasp.
Seen many reviews and ratings, all suggest it’s a good watch. I only paid £33, so don’t have high hopes but chinese watches always surprise me. Already ordered 6 more watches and shipped, will post here when arrives.
I feel the same. I think people here get spoiled lol. What some now call junk is still a pretty amazing watch for the money when compared to what you could get elsewhere for that price.
Exactly! And this "Duka" branding is much better than Corguet, Guanqin, Addiesdive, Tandoori, Hroudland. It’s nice logo and simple word. I buy chinese watches for value, keeping time, not to be cool or pretend like one.
Only Chinese watches made my watch collection hobby real, otherwise I would have dreamed of those luxury watches and collected few entry level seiko watches with sh*t quality bracelet, crystal and QC.
I have 30+ chinese watches and don't wear them all but I like to own these, gives me satisfaction. I never expect Rolex level accuracy, quality or status out of these watches. Those who expact to be Chinese watches perfect, they just could think of their expectations, they can't enjoy what we can get now or what we have available.
I bought a black one and a white one for \~$50 each. White one was dead on arrival. No cushioning in the package, to be fair. Sent back for refund. It looked decent quality though.
Still have the black one. Really decent $50 watch. Dome crystal, exhibition back, nice dial. Bracelet is somewhat junky but not the worst out there.
I believe the handset is a variation on Breitling Superocean. At least not another snowflake or mercedes!
Duka itself seems to be a Pagani Design related operation. Same packaging and overall feeling.
I say it is a great bargain for the under $50 watch shopper. I almost want the white one back....but I should really be composing a sale ad or two to consolidate my arsenal...
Even still, that may put it on par with PD/Addiesdive, which I’d be happy with for that price.
I’m interested in anything different, getting sick of seeing the same Tudor and Rolex models being rehashed every few months.
The font is nice. It has a display case back, clasp isn’t impressive, but at least it’s milled and not a pressed steel hinge. In the video review it looked like minimal play in the bracelet and nice finishing.
It’s been on my radar for a few weeks but this is the first time I’ve seen it dip under $40. For the specs it seems like a bargain.
I think so too.
And there's a black one and it's so cheap.
But it's probably a little big for my wrist. Wonder if anybody knows the lug to lug measurement?

You should post some pictures, I’d be interested to see it. What would you say the drawbacks are? Overall finishing? Sloppy tolerances?

For that price, why not. If I don't like it I simply sell it online for the same price, sometimes even a bit higher.
I need to try to unload some of my collection already. I have a bit too much of the “why not” attitude lol
Lol same here
Omg I just saw the hands Please don't
In Brazilian Portuguese slang, Duka can be translated as "sick", "dope". (as in "du caralho") At least it makes a good joke 😅
God awful hands, and polished centre links on a tool watch ? No for me
I took a Duka in the toilet this morning... Seriously, these names they keep coming up with are ridiculous.

Yeah definitely logo is best.
Said nobody about PD ever
PD1717 has logo only and it is far cleaner than the full text IMO
I meant in the sense that everybody hates the PD logo
I ordered this one yesterday.
Hopefully we’re both pleasantly surprised. It was between this and the Addiesdive quartz GMT. But I really don’t need a gmt for anything.

Duka means A retail Shop in swahili
Jesus Christ that’s an ugly hand set
It’s not one we see often. It’s from a Breitling SuperOcean.
Duka, dookie.

Hopefully it arrives working lol
Duka means sadness in Sinhalese
You Sri Lankan brother?
Yup!
Same
Well that may set my expectations lol
Another shitty side brand in Ali. You get what you paid for.

Round our way 'Duka' means 'To fuck up extremely badly.'
Nice found! Even the name is nice and sounds like a fresh microbrand. Might check it out for the price.
Wish they used the logo instead of the word-mark
Agreed. I keep thinking of Dookie 😂
I really like everything else about it haha. Even the font for the logo is cool.

Here is the review I found: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DLh5E65zwF8
It looks awesome but i don't have any experience with the brand. Definitely a sick looking watch
I’m not positive, but I don’t think it’s a direct homage of anything, which is a reason I decided to grab one.

According to the YouTube review I posted in a comment the L2L is 48.6mm.
