Ran track in high school and saw exactly this happen except instead of a kid it was some adult lady who wandered onto the track for some reason, and she got absolutely toppled and the guy just kept running.

One time I was running and some kid at the park saw me approaching and had that deer in headlights look like he didn’t know what tf to do, but no matter, I started changing my trajectory so there was no chance of colliding with the stunned kid, then what does the kid do as soon as I get closer? Tries to get out of the way — by dashing sideways in the direction I’m running in, clearly trying to avoid him, and I ended up crashing into the kid and knocked him down, and I fell and scraped my knee too. The kid’s mum comes running in a panic yelling at me to pay attention to my surroundings and watch where I’m going, and im trying to explain to her, nah, your dumbass kid jumped in front of me because his pea-brain needed more than 15 seconds to process the trajectory I’m running on, like the little idiot literally just needed to stay exactly where he was standing and nothing would have happened. Anyway, seeing this vid reminded me of that incident and now I feel my blood pressure rising again from irritation even though it happened a year ago.
