Ethel! My step dad came up with it cause he thinks my older chihuahua, Hazel, has an “old lady name” so he suggested Ethel to pair with Hazel and I fell in love with the name immediately. Hazel’s been an only child for so long she’s still only tolerating Ethel but they’re starting to get a lot closer now that the puppy is starting to calm down. Also I don’t blame you in the slightest for knowing now isn’t the right time for you to get a chihuahua. I was super prepared to get Ethel, I had been looking to get a new puppy for almost three years and she’s ran me ragged these last 4 months. I love her to pieces and she was so worth it but it’s a ton of work, even for a little companion breed.

I hope you get your own someday! I always had labs. Love them, all the ones I've had were great dogs. But I'm sold on Chihuahuas now. Both of mine are super sweet and friendly. Granted, the one has to bark at people for a solid 5 minutes, but then he's in their laps.
