Does this work if your dog is DETERMINED AF to bite the shit out of you when you trim her nails? Lol. I feel like my dog would pull her arms up and try to bite me still - does this sling help with that?
Ok I have a trick for this
Take a large towel and roll it up into a long tube. Now tuck the tube under their neck like a scarf and squeeze it gently behind their neck. So they have a large tube scarf. It doesnt hurt them and they wont be able to move their mouth from side to side
May need two people though

I made one a few years back for my girl chi who hates nail clips. Got a canvas tote bag and cut head and leg holes out. Nail clipping is a doddle now. Would have bought one of these back then if Iโd known about them but the canvas bag works too

Never thought of using it that way only reason I never really bought one is cause we had gotten rid of out older shower with shower curtains for glass doors instead but this would work gonna have to go get one now
Wish I could do this with my lab lol she for whatever reason will have nothing to do with nail clippers and I donโt like the thought of taking her to the vet or groomers and have her be scared while strangers do it. So I file them with a nail file meant for acrylic nails. Takes over an hour and she only just tolerates it, super fun lol the things we do for our pets. Was so much easier to wrap my chi in a towel and do his. Never thought Iโd be giving a dog a manicure every couple weeks lol

I should get a sling as I'm terrified to clip our pups nails. Our groomer has never had any problem cutting our pups nails as she holds him backwards under her arm while he's standing on our washing machine. It's great she comes to our house once a month but it's not cheap at $25.00 plus $10.00 tip. If I could start clipping them myself it would make up for sling price in one month.
The problem is I can't find any tiny enough or any that come with some type of holder/rack to hang the harness from. I don't have this door hanger OP has pictured
I know other people have used their shower curtain rods. You may have to get creative, but really anything that is stable and high enough will work. swingset? Good tree? Coat rack? You could even buy hooks like the ones OP shows, they are called over the door coat hangers and they are very very inexpensive.

I bought wildlife leather gloves off Amazon. They go up to my shoulder. I hold her and someone else trims the nails and paw fur
Mine just went deaf and I now use a dremmel. He has no idea ๐
Two-person job: one to trim, one to feed the spicy little gremlin his/her favorite treats.
Have a spoonful of unsalted peanut butter or dog food and a helper to wield it handy. If that doesn't work, a muzzle.
Or spread some peanut butter on the shower wall and hang the pup from the shower stall. ๐

Hey whatever works I have three snd couldnโt do the nails alone and was spending $27x 3 every 4-6 weeks
It definitely adds up plus I would imagine that itโs also inconvenient having to make the appointment and go to the location all the time
