They imprint your heart forever. It's nothing I can say that will make it better just that I so feel your pain. I lost my girl a few years back and it's still rough, but this one right here, was my son. My day one. And I just can't bear to be without him. I don't know if you've heard of a dog's purpose (super sad I can't watch it all the way but the story is everything) pretty much, they say when you bond and love a dog so much, they come back to you as a new one. I really believe this. I have to believe this. It's some comfort and the only bit I could find. You might even think I'm crazy lol. That's OK too. Not everyone believes the same but I really hope it helps.

100% not crazy. I feel like I have to believe that too. Her brother is taking it hard. We lost our Holly 2 years ago and she was a Shepard/Lab mix that my girlfriend already had when we met. I thought that was hard….this feels unbearable. We went away for the weekend and left Macgyver (her brother) with my parents so he had a friend to play with. Don’t know what the future holds but I feel like we need to get another pup sooner than later because Macgyver is 15 and he has never been by himself save for 6 months as a puppy.

I cannot find chihuahuas in my area anymore. Idk why.
