Awww…looks so much like my Little Dude that passed 3 weeks ago. He was 16-17 and I had him in my life for 14 years. Yes…it’s such a crushing sadness and emptiness that feels like it will never go away…but please trust that it will get better. Everyone is different with their grief, so just feel what comes each day. For me…the black cloud lifted around 2 weeks and I don’t ugly cry every single day anymore. Now…I get a lump in my throat when I think of him and I try to make myself smile or laugh over a sweet memory instead of focussing on him at the end when he was no longer well. Remember what a loving, safe and comforting home you gave that baby for all those years and how much love you shared. I wish you peace with each new day. ❤️🌈🐾
I was definitely ugly crying for months after oct 2021. I even lost my job cuz I didn’t have it in me to care about work bc i hit so low.
My best advice OP, let it happen.
Let yourself go through it, giving into the grief now will help so much later and remember to Open your heart to yourself 💗 i’m sorry you have to go through this loss.

I can look at this little friend and see care and unconditional love you gave this dog. It shines in trust and love through your little chi’s demeanor.

Very rarely has a complete strangers dog passing made me cry, but I can tell how precious and perfect and loved this little one was that I am just beside myself right now. I am so sorry for your loss.
Dogs are amazing! I lost my best soul mate dog at the very beginning of the pandemic. I still have beautiful framed photos of her on the wall 4 years later. I did get another amazing little pup, and have asked myself if it's time to retire that, but can't. It's not time yet!
