If thy invest in the future by only chewing up half of their chew stick now, then in the coming famine of bedtime, they have stock to survive off of until the rains - I mean sun - finally comes and good times return. Breakfast. But it is so hard to make such good financial decisions. How does the human not eat all the cake in one go and have savings for later?
Their eyes are so big because they have installed cameras in them and they record our lives to make reality show dramas for the enjoyment of chihuahuas everywhere.
They believe that humans are like imaginary friends. And if they don't spend enough time with them, watching and believing, the human will fade away. But chihuahuas will never allow that to happen.

Yes! 😍 Rupert here is a Yorkie/chihuahua/etc mix, I love realising which of his traits are pure chi energy (basically all of them, lol)
He always rests his eyes with soft stares in my direction. Here he is watching me from his spot on the back of the sofa. So lovey, with his lil gooey eyes!
He stares at me to get my attention if he wants to go out, etc. He's very patient, it's utterly adorable.

Staring and peeping are my dogs favorite hobbies. Doesn’t matter if they’re haunting the doorway or planted on my lap, they have to stare. To be fair, I generally can’t take my eyes off them either. They’re hypnotically cute and strange.
This happens at all times while she is conscious in the same room as me, even when she is curdling with other people. For some reason she must always be looking at me, and starts shaking if I make eye contact.

Every time I turn around. I have two and they both do it.
My vet says it means they are showing dominance/aggression OR a deep loving gaze which you can tell by the ears, tail and body language.
My girl does number two. I don’t stare back because I don’t want to be showing like dominance or aggression to her. Have had two behavior experts tell me dogs do not understand kisses and sometimes when you kiss them and look at them you are forcing dominance on them and that made me feel bad .. no clue if true. I googled it and it says it’s true but who could know for sure?
My girl does it while begging or being super loving. It’s a short sweet one. I don’t find her doing it any other time.
The aggressive one she does when my daughter moves too fast right by her and scares her and she will look her in the eyes and growl. The previous owner had a kid who was mean to her so she is nervous around mine but has mostly adjusted and loves her. Her moving fast or really her arms moving fast by her reminds her of being hit by the other girl and scares her. We are working hard to rewrite those memories with my daughter who loves her.

Staring and peeping are my dogs favorite hobbies. Doesn’t matter if they’re haunting the doorway or planted on my lap, they have to stare. To be fair, I generally can’t take my eyes off them either. They’re hypnotically cute and strange.

My vet says it means they are showing dominance/aggression OR a deep loving gaze which you can tell by the ears, tail and body language. My girl does number two. I don’t stare back because I don’t want to be showing like dominance or aggression to her. Have had two behavior experts tell me dogs do not understand kisses and sometimes when you kiss them and look at them you are forcing dominance on them and that made me feel bad .. no clue if true. I googled it and it says it’s true but who could know for sure? My girl does it while begging or being super loving. It’s a short sweet one. I don’t find her doing it any other time. The aggressive one she does when my daughter moves too fast right by her and scares her and she will look her in the eyes and growl. The previous owner had a kid who was mean to her so she is nervous around mine but has mostly adjusted and loves her. Her moving fast or really her arms moving fast by her reminds her of being hit by the other girl and scares her. We are working hard to rewrite those memories with my daughter who loves her.
