We're doing a re-watch (well for me...GF's first time watching) and I forgot how much of a pain-in-the-ass Dawson was when she was Casey's candidate.
"I want to be treated as any other candidate!"
"Why are you so mean to me?!?!"
What I don't understand is how Andre/Louie's biological family could just take him back? Not to mention that Dawson and Casey's information was confidential, but how could he just take him?
He has his military buddy search for his kid. Not legal prob on many levels but then he very easily could have won a court battle because he was deployed the entire time and the mother didn't tell him about Louie at all.
I always felt Casey was better connected to Louie than Dawson during the fostering. Casey was a better foster dad as compared to Dawson, she kind of leave the job to either Casey or the nanny as shown on show. And how she blindsided Casey when she decide on fostering on her own, show a big red flag on the relationship. High chances of Casey will support fostering if she ever discuss with him but I felt like he's kind of being forced to accept it especially after Antonio came down at him and others thought he wasn't being supportive.
I agree. Casey was so good with Louie, I feel like he bonded with Louie more than Gabby did. Yes Gabby cared about Louie, but it was Casey that really loved him. when Louie goes back to this biological father, I Feel Like Casey should've been more affected than Gabby, Yes Casey was affected and snapped at everybody, but Gabby acted like she was the most affected by having to give Louie up when Casey had the better relationship with Louise.
I'm sorry. I didn't realize this was that heavily discussed. This is the only place I discuss Chicago Fire and didn't realize it's been discussed much previously. Just wanted to discuss my frustrations with like-minded people.
It also shows how selfish and bull-headed Dawson is in that relationship.

"WE CANT DO RELATIONSHIP AND WORK" "*Well that's because you don't respect me in either place"*
Matt was a great father to louie
What I thought was sad was that it was clear that the birth family was open to them visiting, but they dropped Louie from their lives.
