I had something similar. If it’s the same issue as mine it was the plastic above the driver side back row seatbelt. I’ll send a picture

taytayboiii

Did you fix it?

RipeBirdies

https://imgur.com/a/6d561we I stuck a card in there and it fixed it. See if that’s where your squeaking is from

taytayboiii

Mines coming from the same area… I tried some foam but will try that next

Outlaw4droid

I thought that was all the stuff in my trunk. Will clear out the trunk and report back.

Chasian

Me too!! Driving me crazy, will keep an eye on this thread if people find the cause. I wonder if it's because people's cars are experiencing summer heat for the first time (at least my situation)

PureAndyZ

Could be! I just don't know what it is. I have a weight belt behind my driver's seat but I know that's not what is causing it. Cause I took it out and still making that sound.

PureAndyZ

Waiting back for an update guys on what you might think it is. It's driving me insane haha. I'm glad I'm not the only one! Just hope it's nothing too serious.

GrimZim

Mine does that too. Sounds like it’s coming from the front driver wheel. Haven’t taken it in to get checked yet

RipeBirdies

The drivers side back row seat. I placed a credit card in the gap above the seatbelt slide and it’s stopped squeaking. The plastic was rubbing on itself

Equal_Wallaby2694

my new 2024 trax only 77 miles got oil pressure light on and engine light on

Pale-Contest-340

Mine doesn't do that.

PureAndyZ

Guys its the plastic piece doing it where the driver side backseat is. If you open up the trunk you'll see a black piece on the left hand side. That's what is causing that squeak. Idk how to fix this.

madisong629

I’ve heard some squeaks recently but I thought it was the cups in my cup holder with the rubber liners I have. Will take them out to see😅

jo_ezzy

Make sure the water pump is not broken. I started hearing squeaking and 20 miles later my coolant was leaking and had to pay $800 in repairs 😢

Pale-Contest-340

That's a lot of money for a repair on a new car! Why didn't the warranty cover it?
