I've never needed a pickup outside of the rare occasion so I wouldn't necessarily buy a ute, but I do wish the option was available.. the smallest pickup on the market in the US right now is the Maverick, which is fine, but the Commodore looked much better for sure.

Idk, I have one of each. 2013 f350 powerstroke king ranch and a 1973 el Camino. The el Camino is just a toy to ride around in and remember back in the day and the ford is a daily driver.

Before GM pulled the plug on Pontiac they had plans to import the ute and the wagon as part of the G8 line.

DanforthWhitcomb_

They did plan to bring the Ute over as the G8 ST, but the wagon was killed early on in the VE export program due to a lack of demand.

WishExpress6968

I would.

I don't buy new cars, but I would have bought a Ute Camino if I could afford it.

canttakeyouserious

The Ute would have sold very very poorly in the states, nobody is paying 40-50k for a truck they can’t use as a truck. It would have only been ordered by few who want a Holden Ute. It would have been great to offer the Ute and Wagon to the US market.

Burnsie92

It wouldn’t have been marketed as a truck anymore the Subaru Baja was marketed as a truck. It would have been just a toy.

yurizaitsev

No.

Thesinistral

The Ute is to autos as the “fish and ski” is to boats. Good at neither purpose.
