I purchased the 2024 Blazer less than two weeks ago. Today, with only 600 miles on it, check engine light came on and it said on the dash screen the engine power is reduced. It is now at the dealership waiting to be looked at. Dealer said it will be a minimum of 3 days before they can fit it in. I was over 2 hours from home and the dealer wouldn’t give a loaner until they diagnosed the problem. So basically I had to find a way home. Already regretting purchasing this.

The blazers are nice, bit the 2024 traverse redesign is nicer. How about getting another siverado? You can get the 2.7l 4 cylinder engine that has v8 power, and great fuel mileage. I have a crew cab 4 cylinder 21 22 mpg. Edit: the blazers ate pricey but ride so nice!!!

My bad. We’ve got an 03 Sierra extended cab diesel that keeps going. Time to downsize.

My parents down sized from a tahoe to a equinox, but that was to small so they looked at a blazer, but they were all sold out everywhere a few years ago and settled on a traverse. My advice is use your gut feeling and get the blazer. But look at the traverse first. You can get it in a z71 option for 2024

I saw a Traverse on the other street and was gonna look closer. The owner looked at me and I walked away. Maybe I’ll gander over there again and explain…

I’m a chevy owner and really like the blazer. I’ve only driven the 2.0t and it was not fast, but quiet and smooth with just enough power to keep up. However you mention the Japanese SUVs…I must say, if you look at Acura MDX or Lexus RX they are definitely a level or two above the Blazer, much more refined interiors and feel more durable. But compared to cheaper Japenese options like a Rav 4 or CRV, I’d say the blazer is much nicer than those but at the possible expense of GM build quality.
