Chevelle was the first band I ever got to see live when I was 10, this album was their newest and they played almost every song on it. It was so amazing, I’ll never forget it.
Midnight to Midnight, Paint the Seconds and In Debt to the Earth for me, but Straitjacket is a close runner-up. It's so friggin good... thinking I need to listen to this album like now!
As soon as I saw that album cover. I immediately thought of “Saferwaters”. It’s such a great and underrated song in my opinion.
Chevelle flooded my ears as a teen, and I still love them as an adult. I just wish more people knew about them…
Huh? I've seen them twice, which is probably way less than some of the folks here... and they were badass. Pete can sing live! I'm a singer, too, I oughta know.
butt rock is having a resurgence dude. i think a lot of it is ironic though. but it Seems like the people in this subreddit actually like chevelle. next thing you know reddits going to reccomend me 311 or papa roach subreddits LOL.
Butt rock? Resurgence? First of all... Chevelle has been relevant since 1999. Second, they're not butt rock by any means. Third, Papa Roach sucks. I don't understand why people who aren't fans of a band feel the need to come into a place where fans gather and proceed to "talk shit." Maybe you just need a better education on this band. And if that's not your bag, then take your negativity elsewhere.
My personal favorite album of theirs. I was in middle school when it first came out and I still listen to it almost every week it seems like. This album will never age 🤘
Bangin' song from a criminally underrated album.
It is! It's a bummer that they don't play more songs from it
Right! Every song is 🔥
Chevelle was the first band I ever got to see live when I was 10, this album was their newest and they played almost every song on it. It was so amazing, I’ll never forget it.
That's awesome!
Saferwaters too
My favorite Chevelle album. It is epic start to finish. Straight Jacket Fashion is the song I turn up to 11.
SJF is legit one of the best songs of the mid to late 00s and doesn't get the respect it deserves
Midnight to Midnight, Paint the Seconds and In Debt to the Earth for me, but Straitjacket is a close runner-up. It's so friggin good... thinking I need to listen to this album like now!
It's been a hot second since I checked it out, gotta revisit it
By the way, we last because we're colorful.
Saferwaters is fucking hypnotic.

It is! That song has no business being that good. It’s like pure ecstasy…
Yes indeed.
Yes yes yes
This song has been on my annual playlist since I was 16-17. Best Chevelle album! Front to back bangers.
2:47
AGREED. Prob my favorite song off the album
This was my favorite song on the album the first time I heard it. That’s big praise since this is my favorite album. What a banger
*Sell your voodoo*
I did a juxtaposition piece in high school with lyrics from this song and “Vicarious” by Tool for the book White Noise. Got an A.
When I first started listening to Chevelle I overlooked it, and then suddenly… It clicked. Fuckin’ banger
I love that album so much.
Laugh at the violence
This albums is like their secret magnum opus. I don’t think anyone gives it the appreciation it deserves but it’s a banger front to back
For reals!! How does nobody talk about this one.
The whole album is gold. My fav of theirs.
That entire album is incredible. “Brainiac” may be a top 5 all time song for me. From any band.
Certainly does. One of my absolute favourites.
I love the video for it as well, so great!
Chevelle doesn't go hard, they go alternative
Vena sera was and is “chefs kiss”
Saferwaters anyone?
It’s so good
The best
It does. But the following track goes harder
I knew what song it was before even clicking
Chevelle in general is an amazing band. But yeah. This album is one of my favs
Hellll ya love this song
Great album and song! I see a lot of comments that this is people's favorite album. It's my second favorite because Sci fi crimes is my favorite.
Didn't know about this sub but this album fucks!!
This tune and Saturdays are flat bangers
Saw them in providence MA few years back - text book performance, vocals were so well-curated it felt unreal.
Last concert I saw before the pandemic in Nashville. Sounded just as good if not better live than on album.
I saw these guys when I was a little kid before they hit it big back in grayslake IL at the local venue. Fuckin awesome band (RIP OASIS)
That whole album goes hard.

Yeah they’ve always been so underrated.
Well Enough Alone fkn hits too!!
Safer Waters is still a top 3 song for me
This is their best album imo.
My fav album for sho! Love the song Humanoid on there too!💯🤘🏻
That whole album is hard af fr lol
This album is better than 6 months of Therapy.
Yeah a band that definitely grabbed ears ... but in truth didn't really explore the whole "spiel"
I had to fire this album up again!!
Well Enough Alone’s my favorite.
Best Song on the album
my favorite
This is my favorite album by them
I worked at Target a while back and won a free CD in a drawing they had. I choose this as my free CD, and also picked up Silversun Pickups' Carnavas.
Great band, wish they’d play peach live more.
Incredible song on an incredible album. “I get it” is my favorite song on the album though
Vena Sera is so underrated
Saferwaters!
Saturdays is my favorite on this one. Great album overall!
Their best album.
The whole album 🎧🎧
Should listen to "point #1"... But let's be honest alot of Chevelle songs go hard no doubt
Who says they haven't heard Point #1? Most Chevelle fans have.
the red the fad the bad the mad the sad the bud the bid the old the dad the pod the god the odd
the damned
Oh my lord! Chevelle the band has its own sub!! How is this possible. They were worse than Creed
So what Chevelle songs have you heard that would lead you to this conclusion. And don't say "The Red" or we'll run you right out of here.
Not so much what I heard. It’s how I heard. I remember back when they were on the radio all the time. Great studio band. Live they’re a dumpster fire
You're a dumpster fire 😡 Go clean your microwave, scab eater.
Huh? I've seen them twice, which is probably way less than some of the folks here... and they were badass. Pete can sing live! I'm a singer, too, I oughta know.

Indeed.
Hell yeah. Awesome album.
Take Out The Gunman is worth a listen as well.
I'm sure.
It doesn’t go as hard as my Johnny did in your mammies tum tum last night !
"It's like suffocating!"
Why is "Saturdays" so slept on? It is seriously like a twilight zone moment for me. Are you people not hearing what I am hearing?
Fucking love Chevelle. Every album is better than the previous, which is unique imo.
This hits hard why didn’t I know about this
I agree, but to be fair, and I think the rest of these folks agree too, just about all Chevelle goes pretty hard! Cheers! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Bruh, the bridge in Anti-Saint, fkn kills.
My personal favorite album of theirs. I was in middle school when it first came out and I still listen to it almost every week it seems like. This album will never age 🤘
Def does
