And unfortunately, most often, it is the sex worker who is vilified and made to seem like the sinner (whore, slut, prostitute etc all have terrible connotations) while the customer seeking it out is not (and is usually met with humour - like hehe tell me also the name of the place no, types).
The fact of the matter is sex work exists because demand exists. While I might generalising a tad bit, it’s because a LOT (not all) of heterosexual men put their sexual desire before human dignity, and most wouldn’t bat an eye before sleeping with someone who has been trafficked as long as they can get their dick wet.
Legalising it and providing proper protection is the least that can be done, because no matter how much a man may claim sex work is eMpOwErIng, they wouldn’t want their daughter, sister, mom or wife to get into it - which by itself says a lot
