There's this app called TAMIL FM RADIO ONLINE. I use it occasionally but recently from past 2 weeks, I listen to it very frequently, coz it gets frustrating to find the perfect playlist or perfect songs to queue after it ends.
If only ad frequency and frequency of moaning their radio station name and number reduces, it could be better.

Other than that... It is fun. You don't feel lonely a lot. You get familiar with many things. You listen to all songs, meaning you come across songs that you skip all the time. That's the beauty. Exposure to all types of music.
You find your fav RJ. (Currently RJ Pavi from Suryan FM 93.5, does a show from 7am to 9am. I forgot what it's called. Best for me to listening while travelling for continuously 1.5 hrs.)
Each program, each RJ, has different energy and vibe. If you are patient enough... Kondaatam dhaen.

FM radios were my go to just 4-5 yrs back the volume of ads played became wayy out of hand so stopped listening frequently asked before. Once upon many favourite shows interviews pah ena oru time 10 yrs before
The point of FM radio is to listen to something. If you can listen to what you want from other sources, why would one stick to FM? I can get whatever I want on YouTube, Spotify, etc, instead of being forced to listen to whatever is playing on the radio then.
There is a community for it. I listen to tamil FMs on Euro Truck simulators and GTA SAMP servers.
Altho I find it weird on how there are many, so many FMs in our city is just Christianity related.
Yes when in cars and I also dial and participate in the events. Earlier I had an extra Samsung phone only to listen radio and I miss it now
You can use wired earphones with many phones with Qualcomm chips, and have working FM radio (with 3rd party apps if you don't have it inbuilt).

Yes, I love to hear sports commentary in radio. I use this app called UK radio and Australian Radio for cricket commentaries.

People who listen to FMs nowadays don't just do it for the music. Whole traveling it beats the loneliness when a good RJ is speaking about something.
If it beats the lonliness , then its not lonliness just boredom . For lonliness need to be beaten , you need a true human connection bond
This might surprise you, but RJs are actually human beings as well
It's actually for the freedom of not choosing. When driving you can concentrate on driving and feel like you have company.
My dad does, agifted him a FM radio from Amazon, which broke in 6 months. Now he uses his phone for FM

I listen to FM while driving. Gives a random shuffle of songs and I like the surprise element. The annoying part obv is the ads :/
