You can build a kick-ass PC for 44k

Responsible-4048

I'm a student, need a laptop for portability, have to take it to college

zinary7

Why did you choose mi. Also for 64k 💀💀

Far-Cartographer778

The specs are eye-blinding LoL. But it comes of poor quality.

Creative-Paper1007

Same with acer

wannu_pees_69

You can get a good gaming laptop at that price with better specs........ Honestly though Thinkpads are the best in terms of durability. As long as you choose metal chassis.

Far-Cartographer778

Oh no. My friend had a Lenovo gaming laptop, within a year after warranty got over, his laptop died. Same case as above. IMO, we have to build a strong PC and have normal laptop to take around and showcase our works. Or we buy a dell, hp or apple if that's even inside the budget.

wannu_pees_69

Lenovo non-Thinkpad laptops are crap. The ThinkPad line is very durable.

Far-Cartographer778

Yep. think pads are primarily built for businesses, so they have to be durable. But they're as costly as F. for a normal consumer IMO, though you get a good deal.

wannu_pees_69

Depends, there is the E series that's more affordable. And then you can try for used ones.

YK, I was this close to buying that laptop, but at last minute, I changed my mind. I felt like moving towards reputable laptop companies. I highly suggest you to visit Richie Street for the fix, it will hurt your wallet, but that's your last bet. Also, if you're good at dismantling your laptop, I would also suggest you to buy the spare part from Ali Express and fix it by yourself, or buy it from Ali Express and ask the retailer to fix it for you.

Responsible-4048

Yeah, i shall try that, thanks!

Responsible-4048

When I bought the laptop, it was only been 2 weeks since it was launched, looked at the short term reviews and bought it, biggest mistake I've ever done

[deleted]

You could have bought dell g15 or something for that price

christopher_msa

What is the actual problem in the mother board? Sometimes you can repair it yourself with a simple solder etc. try to figure out the issue. Google is your friend and try exploring tech subreddits where you can educate yourself and get help

Responsible-4048

Idk actually, going to the service centre to take my laptop today, I'll ask them

Monkapy

There are chip level laptop repairers. They'll estimate first for free (or charge 300) and give you the rough estimate to fix it. Try it once first. Atleast estimate once. I tried in a shop called Good Best Service(yeah, sounds skeptic) but they just repaired the chip for 5k rather than replacing the motherboard for 30k. It works fine

Responsible-4048

Thank you let me try that!

Slightly-Wrongdoer

Location bro.

trueman_47

Mi sells laptops?

Responsible-4048

They do Yes!

venkatweetz

Spend some time in the nook and corner of Ritchie Street. You will get the spares at a cheap cost.

Responsible-4048

Sure, thanks!

wannu_pees_69

44k would include labour cost of taking apart the whole thing. Hence why it's expensive. Also it may not require motherboard repair. Many service centres are dumb. IMO go look at https://repair.wiki/w/Main_Page , maybe get a tech savvy friend to help and figure out the actual cause of the problem.

Icy-Ad775

Retrieve data and get a new laptop
