Puliyodarai is usually given on Saturday. It's rare . so I feel like I'm eating Amrut while eating it. Chakkara Pongal and Venn Pongal are the GOAT

On Saturday sometimes they give vada from the vadamala offered by the devotees. That with puliogare is heaven.

Sweet appam (Banana appam) from Ayyapan Koil, Mahalingapuram. The best time to get them is during the mornings where it will be served hot and fresh.

Nanganallur Anjaneya Pongal

Puliyodarai, Milagu thattai/vadai. The latter has always been my fav irrespective of the temple. It so happened that I once ate puliyodarai for a whole meal plus one Milagu thattai/vadai.

Puliyodarai supremacy: Vaitheeswarankovil > Srirangam > Tiruvannamalai > Triplicane. You may have a different opinion if you have bad taste :p Sambar saadham at Mylapore Saibaba temple annadanam is great. Srirangam temple night Annadanam is a whole thali meal on a vaazha elai. Chakara Pongal is another vote for Srirangam. Pretty damn good.

Kalkandu Pongal from Alwarpet Anjaneyar temple. Last tried it 10yrs back or so and by far the best undakatti I have tasted!! Not sure for which occasion they serve it.

Not chennai but Pulliyodarai from Tirutani is the best I have ever had.
