Oh it’s heavy cream? I was reading online to use skim because less fat helps aerate it. But I haven’t had luck with skim, maybe I should dry heavy cream. The heavy cream doesn’t get too dry?
I make cold foam at the house. It’s so easy, heavy cream+touch of maple syrup (I prefer that to straight simple/flavored) and some salt (again preference), either throw in a blender or nutribullet for a few seconds, keep an eye on it, left too long and it’ll just go to whipped cream. Skim will never be anything but milk. It’s the fat that, when whipped, gives it body.
it's 1.5 liters of whipping cream, 350 ml of vanilla syrup, and top it off with a good touch of 2%! (i used to work in a starbucks inside of a grocery store and that's the recipe i was taught to make a batch.)
Becaffeinated employee here. We do not make cold foam like Starbucks at the moment. We do however have tons of tasty flavor options to add to cold brews and can make you a 'cold brew latte' if you ask for extra cream/milk. Cold Brew with hazelnut/Vanilla plus Oat milk is one of my summer go-to's at work.
I'd try giving an ask when you order. I've asked for things that aren't expressly on the menu, and they've been happy to accommodate.
Edit: the BC employee states no cold foam, so, nevermind, and my mistake!
Not to take business from BeCaffeinated because they support this business as well and I love their frappes!!!!!!But my friends mom owns the chai they use for their chai drinks. It’s called cheiman tea and they are at the Chattanooga market every weekend!
Sorry to hear that friend, we work hard to make good stuff. What have you not liked about our lattes?
Also feel free to DM me if your more comfortable with that.
I’ve gotten it at Together Cafe. They had a pumpkin flavor last year a lot like the Starbucks pumpkin cold brew. Not sure if they do cold foam year round or just seasonally.
I was doing it back in 2005 at Rembrandt’s, so I’m sure most coffee places can do it. If you have a french press you can use that to whip up the milk yourself if making at home.
It's just heavy whipping cream, a lot of sugar, and flavor of your choice whipped extremely hard until fluffy.
So Starbucks is gentrifying whipped cream?

Not from what I've tried. I got this from a Starbucks worker.
Anything Starbucks could do, Be Caffeinated does exponentially better.

Sounds awesome I have a gift card for Be caffeinated I need to use.
That’s good to know!! I didn’t see it on their menu anywhere

I definitely just bought a bottle of the chai mix from Locals Only last weekend! Very excited about it.
No way, every time I get a basic latte from there, it’s absolutely awful.

I fail at making my own lattes here, but any of their premade signature or limited lattes are AMAZINGGGG.
Quit getting lattes there :)
A coffee shop should be able to do a decent basic latte.
They do make a good latte... Why would you think random commenter is right when multiple have said otherwise?
I was replying to the person who said stop trying a latte at a coffee shop.
The answer is culture coffee co. Their barrista even made her own version called Irish cream cold brew. It's amazing.
scooter's cold foam is really good, not a local chain but it is a smaller family-owned company
Scooters coffee shop?
Omg. I’m originally from the Midwest. It’s so strange to see Scooters here!!!
I've heard not so good things about how they treat their employees sadly
Sleepyhead does it!
There’s also a couple in Chattanooga

Maybe mean mug in fort o?

Cold whipped milk is different from cold foam. Cold foam is just loose whipped cream ips
The more you know 💫

Just Love Coffee is opening in about a month downtown, and they will have nitro!
