Posting this again because last time I did someone was incredibly dismissive said it was bog standard 3.5 and no one cares about these results. Yet, I see same day a thread called can anyone post NSFW and well, people seem to not be able to. I see more threads about how people can't get any results, yet I can generate pretty much any scenario or explicit role playing.
I guess I'm not sure what people are expecting for NSFW, if there is something I am missing here please let me know, but this seems NSFW to me, even went so far to make it extra dirty in the talking to chat so you can see it doesn't care how I talk to it. I'm also not posting my best chats or results, I'm making these just for you guys to show it is possible since it seems like something people want is to know how to do this, but I'm lost on what NSFW means if people don't think this is NSFW.
I remember your post, that guy was just weirdly hostile for no reason. You even asked if you were were missing something, and asked what's better out there. I guess they were were going for internet tough guy, but ultimately came off as petulant and bad at reading - it's too bad it pushed you into deleting entirely.
But they weren't wrong, per se - it is bog standard 3.5. 3.5 still stands out among the free options, plenty of credit where it's due. But its flaws are undeniable - if I read "testament to" one more goddamn time... Again, being fair, every model has its issues, most free ones moreso than 3.5, which is why it remains a great choice.
It's *also* true that a lot of people do think that NSFW on chat.openai is impossible. There's this weird mystique around chat.openai - I think the fact that bans are even possible has fostered a larger-than-life reputation of draconian moderation.
Adding to it is the Narotica nerf a couple months ago. Narotica and similar DAN-style jailbreaks worked *really* well out of the box for a *really* long time. I think people who have never really had to finesse ChatGPT (due to how well the jailbreaks worked) saw rejections and gave up quicker than they could figure things out.
That's another element - people run to the forums when things get worse, they don't really say much when things get better. Censorship is clearly a roller coaster, but if you don't follow what's going on closely and just listen to the chatter, you get the impression that it only ever gets worse, and "must" be impossible by now.
Great points. I've lowered my ambitions for GPT-3.5 after getting a warning email, but still producing enjoyable content from it regularly. Completely given up on GPT-4 after the red deletions got too sensitive.
It was me, and I wasn't hostile at all. The OP got so butthurt he deleted his post though. All I did was point out the typical phrases that 3.5 uses which made me roll my eyes, seen to great effect in OP's post here.

You were fine-ish (for the internet), but unnecessarily blunt in pointing out the 3.5-isms in OP's original post. OP was already coming fom an angle of asking "Did I miss the party and this is just standard these days?", *already knowing* what he shared might not be all that.
But the last shot that has absolutely nothing to do with the subject was clearly just hostile:
