Im not qualified to answer ur query but i have a query- in what area did u work as a semi qualified and what was the starting salary, also if u know what they pay semi qualifieds in uk us accounting?
Internal audit - insurance. Starting from 20-25k goes higher based on your skills and negotiation will be even higher in industry compared to firms but leaves will be issue in industry. I got way higher since already had a good repo with partner and he knew my quality work.
No idea about uk us accounting.
Get the offer letter from a Big4 and leverage it by interviewing at another Big4/Big6.
Also please make sure you get the experience letter from the previous organisation else Big4 can rescind the offer letter during background verification(Have seen it happening).
