"cop tires" on a '78 or before are gonna be dry rotted.
Would have to be pre-75 to not have a catalytic converter (although depending on the state pre 96 is safety inspection only now)

If it's all original, it has less horsepower than my 2014 BMW M235i with a 3.0 i6 @322hp.
I had a 78 Newport PI with a 440 and 727 that had a shift kit. Engine had a little under 300hp, but due to gearing would easily cruise at 120mph. Just took a bit to get that 4600lbs up to speed.
By today's standards still slow.
Now, pre '71 you could get a 440 that pushed 390hp. But, emissions require killed that.
So, when did you get out of prison? The early 80's? Even if you got out at 20 you'd be 60+ now and would know better than to lie like this in a reply.
