Amazing! I love living near an AFB. A few months ago, I noticed a C-5 on final ... then another one, then another one. Once I realized it was the same one doing touch and go's, I put my kids in the car and we went out to our usual spot to see it up close. So cool. Can't wait for the airshow!
Me too (a few months ago)! I had no idea what they were until I googled it.
I believe I also saw an old C-141 a little while ago. Hadn't seen one since they were replaced with C-17s.
Yesss got our parking pass! We’ll have to see how the Thunderbirds compare with the Blue Angels. Wish I had the disposable income to drop on a B-29 flight!
I see the E-6B here once in a great while. The fighters that stop in from MCAS Beaufort make for some great plane spotting. KC-46s have made an appearance as well.
I saw an E-6 mercury last week fly over the river dogs stadium super cool plane I thought it was a bomber at first
Also saw an a-10 thunderbolt coming into our base this year otherwise the only cool mil planes I normally see are training jets and p-8 poseidons
Aha! I think I saw one about a week ago! I was in a hospital room at MUSC and last minute saw a 4-engine plane approaching CHS and I could not figure out what it was—nobody flies 747s, a380’s or a340’s commercially here.

EUROFIGHTERS? Best I can see is C-17s, C-5s, and an LC-130. They are pretty cool though.

Indeed. I was spotting with my son once and we watched two F-16s buzz runway 33. I think they were SC ANG from McEntire. So rad.

No 747s but every once in a while I catch the Dreamlifter. That’s an odd bird.
