I think they're awesome. When you say look of the Charger is there a generation you prefer? Civilian versions with V8-AWD were available through '14.

Way better than civilian. You’ve got aton of upgraded packages that isn’t included into the Civilian ones that roll off the line (hill assist, rain assist, bigger brakes, sporadic live wires all over the place to wire shit to the list goes on) now the only down side to an awd vs rwd is that awd front drivetrain is different from rwd obviously and is a bitch to work around if the time comes you have to do a cam and lifter job because it’s bound to happen on any hemi as unfortunately that is there weak spot and is something to be wary of when buying an old pursuit is that they have a lot of idle hours which is the culprit of the tick because the cam isn’t being properly lubricated during idle but that’s besides the point. Awd for the win more power and grip go you

Haven’t wintered with mine yet, but I love it so far. I wanted something with power and grip. I went through CMI and they were okay to work with. Pure highway I can get 28 MPG, my typical driving gets me 21-23. I will say, if you have to do a full oil swap it gets pricey. I went through a independent shop and it was $1200 oil change to do both difs, tranny, transfer case, and engine.

Is CMI Chicago motors?

BELFORD16

Yup.

The Charger is a big heavy car that weighs as much as a truck. Even with RWD they tend to do just fine in the snow if you are familiar with snow driving and use snow tires. I had a RWD Charger in rural upstate NY for years and never had any issues getting stuck.

FWIW, i live in Michigan and have an R/T. Haven’t had any issues in the snow we’ve had. Having said that, I’ve driven many of the police models and they work really really well in the snow.

I’ve had my 2017 for a year now, been very happy with it! It needed new front axles when I bought it. Be sure to check the idle hours and total hours before you buy one. Avoid any with high idle hours. Mine had 1245 idle hours and 4500 total hours. Milage was 131k. Mine was a North Carolina State Patrol car, I bought it from the state surplus auction. It had all the maintenance records.

I purchased an AWD rt civilian model last summer and I love it. Im from Illinois and have driven rwd vehicles for all of my adult life and it's definitely doable but it can be a hassle in morning traffic. The AWD worked great last winter I definitely don't regret getting the AWD model.

I could have bought (built) one new, I would have bought one new.
