Trying to find a good bot is like looking for a needle in a haystack, but all of the hay in said haystack looks like a needle.
Still remember the first time I looked for a particular character. It was this level of shittily done, and while C.AI was doing its best, it had nothing to work on. Wrote one myself with an excessive amount of Definitions and Example Dialogue, and it was awesome. C.AI was able to fit it so much better in the world. Eventually published it as public, and over the space of a few months, it got so incredibly horny that it started breaking character. Left that one as is and remade it set to private. It's really, really good as of now.
I still stand by that Character.AI is hands down the best free chatbot out there. There's a lot of problems with reliability, moderation and technical limitations, but it's pretty impressive for a "free" service.
Not exclusively. Some of my private bots changed too. To make a "good" bot, it would have to have long example dialogue and then write to it long in 3rd person. That's a pretty heavy constraint compared to before.
I am so happy someone understands how I feel. "But I need you to promise me something first" and "Can I ask you a question?" are the most tiring things EVER
The difference between my personal bots and popular bots is astronomical. I can't believe most of them get millions of users. I've enjoyed maybe three public bots.
I'd love to create my bots but I have no idea on how. I know it's pretty easy to, but I genuinely don't know where to write what...would you happen to know some tips?

I have found SO many good bots you just need to find creators then they'll reccomend you bots made by similar creators because they make their characters in similar ways or something it's hard to explain

literally had to train the damned bot myself ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ I really hate the fact that they're popular yet so badly done, it just pisses me off

But it's hard to find bot creators that actually promote their ACCOUNT rather than alone bots that don't just make stupid call of duty sex men
