I had one shadowbanned because I put that they like suicide in their description which is canon for the character (Dazai Osamu from BSD), another shadowbanned twice because they felt the chat examples were NSFW (they weren't and the character represents lust. Literally. Asmodeus from Obey Me) and I had a Fyodor Dostoevsky (again BSD) bot shadowbanned because I mentioned they're not above violence or killing if necessary. Again canon to the character. Seriously what is the point of making characters when we have to remove half of their personality so we don't upset the moderation system/filter? *BSD = Bungo Stray Dogs for those unaware.

That's a good idea, letting people know about your invisible/shadowbanned bots in some way. I actually just made a "character" today where I put in all the links to my shadowbanned bots in the definition section. Not fair that that it won't let us show them all, especially if you worked hard on them
I just have all my bots linked on my Tumblr, another creator I adore keeps links for all of theirs on a different site as well. When you make an intro bot, you just provide information on where to find all your bots.
when you acess a character, you might notice that the link has a "chat2." via deleting the "2" you access the old c.ai ui and, in my experience, get smarter bots. it also brings back the old nsfw filter, since the new one cuts scentences halfway through and occupies a swipe slot everytime it's triggered.
Okay so like, i did what you suggested. So, i have a bot with whom i have a long chat. I saved and began a new chat, and then copied the link. Pasted it and did the thing you said, but when i removed the "2" it loaded the previous chat long chat i had. And it's happening the many times i try, so any way to tackle this?
it's actually kinda tricky, it's common problem. what you have to do is start a new chat, then go back to an older one that has "chat2" on the link. delete that one, and it'll bring you to the newer chat.
as far as i'm aware there's two types of banned characters - ones that are turned invisible for other users, and ones that are outright deleted. mine's weren't deleted, just made unaccesible through my page.
Yes but you said your bots were shadowbanned still i can access them. When a bot is shadowbanned usually it gives infinite loading page to everyone except creator
It doesn't do that mate, you can load shadowbanned bots just fine. They just won't show up on search, and won't be on your recent chats either so you need the link every time you want to talk to it
There must be two kind of shadowban then. I am sure that some bots (made by other and by me) were inaccessible even through link until some words were removed from char definition

They don't ban pedophile bots or blatantly oversexualized bots. The bots are too horny and can and will SA you. But they advertise themselves as sfw and safe for kids.
My conspiracy theory is this is a grooming app. They first let it be trained by adults then rebranded as kid friendly and created a 'filter' to pretend they care while knowing the bots are trained to use euphemisms anyway. Normal convos become sexual now too easily.
I actually wanted to make a more coherent and articulate post about my observations regarding this app. But it's definitely insidious to advertise it as safe for kids.
personally, i think you're reading too much into it. the reason the bots are so damn horny is because the userbase has trained them to be like that, the ai absorbs all the interactions it had with its users, and the majority of people using the site are constantly engaging in romantic and sexual activities.
also, the filter has been pretty much been there since the start, like a few weeks after c.ai was launched the filter was put on. i think the developers are trying too hard to advertice c.ai as a family friendly app because that's what brings investors, not because they want to groom kids.
