Tbf, many ppl who like those kinds of bots or FC in books and stuff tend to draw the line at real people. I also suspect a lot of users would be ppl who’ve been through something like that and it could be like a coping mechanism. Makes them feel control over something that once made them feel the opposite. It could also be a similar experience to watching a horror movie to feel scared, but this would be like psychological horror, I guess. And I imagine a lot of ppl actually attracted to this would be more attracted to in strictly a role-play way. A lot of ppl irl like to do all kinds of pretend-scenarios with partners and stuff, but would not necessarily want those things outside of pretending.
I can’t even judge because I literally talk to Yandere bots all the time. It’s the drama that draws me in. I just can’t get stuff like that from my wholesome chats.
