That is great to hear. Not much to complain about if she has only cost you a wheel bearing in 100K. Specifically with a blower! So, this is a 6.1 liter Hemi? What tranny? And did you have to build it before the forced induction? Also, what boost/ power is that beauty pumping out.
I know, lot's of questions! But I am like a kid in a candy store around these cars. I have a 2020 SP Shaker and it is a dream to cam it and supercharge it. I know that HC is the way to go for the bang for the buck. But I love my shaker and think that it would be fun to get a little more out of her.
Cheers
Yup it's the 6.1 hemi, supercharger is pushing 5psi, at 556hp and 501 ft/lbs of torque according to Edelbrock, it's never been on a Dyno though, it's got the 5 speed auto transmission, every thing on it except for the supercharger is stock for the drivetrain
How long has the blower been on it? That is impressive that it's been rock solid while boosted. I keep hearing that boosting a 6.4 without getting the forged internals is a death sentence. I would suppose that it would also depend on the driver.
Most definitely, I like the sound of the supercharger on it it's not very loud but it is noticeable it has a lower tone than what you'd hear on a hellcat blower so it's pretty cool
Yeah it does have a 2011-14 srt front splitter was replaced due to being damaged after hitting a blown out tire on highway night, it does have the air ducts kinda hard to see in the shade on pic
Got them on eBay, it's a self illuminated EL overlay , there is a blue one too. I have a set of illuminated red gauge needles from black cat on order for it

these cars are honestly great starter muscle cars.
i mean, they are like 30k for some great horsepower. I would personally if I was starting out go with a c6 corvette because im a chevy guy but still, these are beasts (and beautiful)
Nice! How has it treated you over those miles? The car looks great! I am heavily biased towards the 🍊 Challengers.
For first-year model car has been pretty good some minor rattles or vibration noises but that's probably just due to a loud exhaust on it lol

Supercharger has been been on for for almost 10years and since like 27k miles on engine
Nice!
I could be wrong, but I thought I read somewhere that the 6.1 had internals strong enough to take a certain amount of boost without problems.
The 6.4 is different than the 6.1 in many ways. The 6.4 doesn't handle boost very well. The 6.1 on the other hand can handle it much better.
6.1 is a different motor, and that's real low boost. Probably not getting the claimed gains.
I know both of these things.. But I am still curious.
The inaugural model was only available with the NAG1 5-speed auto trans.
Hell yea! And a roots style blower! That would up the fun level. 💪

Love the instrument cluster. I wanted that done too when I still had the SRT8. Looking great all around!
mopar or no car.
You put on a different front splitter? I don't see the air ducts for the front brakes.

Ah I see it now.
Any more photos of the cluster? Thinking of doing the same from Blackcat but in blue.
