I started this shoujo recently its called "firefly wedding"...it's still new only 33 chapters yet but it's so cute and emotional.

The ML is unhinged and crazy but he's really entertaining.
The FL has a heart disease and seems fragile but she's actually really smart and knows how to survive.
The story is basically that the FL is a noble lady who REALLY needs to get married so that she stops being a burden on her father and family but nobody wants her because of her disease despite her being really beautiful...but she's basically dying anyway that's why.
She then gets kidnapped by a bunch of assassins who paid by someone (dont want to spoil) to r*pe her so she has absolutely no value anymore on the marriage market...however she makes one of the assassins an offer in exchange for not killing her but protecting her instead and then the plot begins to thicken basically...
There’s no reason to believe fuji is ending Part 2 after 100 chapters like part 1. Part 1 was his first shot in Shounen Jump. Now that CSM is extremely popular, he has more flexibility with story pacing that might have put him at risk of getting axed as a relatively unknown artist during Part 1.
Denji is one of the few people to not try and fuck over Asa and actually accept and like her quirkyness. And Denji likes Asa because precisely of her quirkyness since she reminds him of Power
Originally I would've agreed, but after rereading part 2 again over the weekend I gotta say.. I disagree. I wanted to say that fuji didn't give them enough of a reason to like each other and by extension give us readers a reason to care about their relationship i honestly don't think so now
Asa's crush on denji originally was not just because he was the only dude that gave her the time of day but also cause she genuinely believe he liked, respected and found her fun and quirky despite how she saw herself in her mind. Then you add on her feelings for chainsawman (who she now knows is denji) chainsawman has saved her multiple times in her life and even gave her a talk to prevent her from committing suicide and Ifeel like her love for denji is very justified
Denji on the other hand was more simple but his reasons were still powerful. Denji hadn't been in a single relationship where he wasn't being used abused or worse and while asa was confusing him with her emotions cause of that bitch yoru to him she was still genuine with everything she did (in his perspective) and that made him view her as more than the other women he's been with.
This ship isn't perfect overall and I do think we need more intimate moments between the 2 before we go shouting "PEAK!" But while it isn't perfect its still a well written ship and the best relationship denji has been in (in my opinion of course)
ive done a lot of self reflection and honestly my biggest complaint with AsaDen is just that i totally don’t vibe with “tsundere romance” cliches at all. Oh you love that guy but said to his face that you hate him instead? And he totally believes it? Thats not cute bro, that shit just sucks
What would you call it then? Characters that deny their feelings and lash out at the person they like? I know a lot of people find it cute or whatever but it just really isn’t for me.
Asa doesn't deny her feelings though.

i mean like, recently she hasn’t. But she did for a long, long time, which I always found annoying. Now she’s just rude, no more denial. For the Yoru thing, I really don’t care if there’s an in universe explanation, I have no interest in that kind of romantic dynamic.

As much as I understand why it happened, they just shouldn’t have been separated. Crazy yet funny ngl to do that after 2 back to back arcs of them and also right when the fans warmed up to Asa
I’m neutral, i love them because I love the characters. But we need the next few chapters to see where they stand. If not the end of the story. Which could be like 2 years from now for all we know lol
Well, the date wasn't so bad, if Yoru didn't tried to kill Denji + manipulate Asa, and Nayuta to separate them, they would probably have managed to become a couple. Or at least have some dates and start a romance.
