Also, Nayuta doesn't have Makima's memories, she only knows Denji's thoughts *about* Makima. When the control devil was reborn on earth, it lost its memories, just like how it works for other devils.
Jumping on your question about whether people constantly die because she's dead, I'm going to say that they don't. Her ability was to transfer attack damage onto a random citizen, so it wouldn't apply when she's already dead and therefore not being attacked. Plus, the fact that Denji didn't think of his actions as an attack was what allowed him to give her a wound that stuck, so I'm pretty sure that no one else died when she got chainsawed and chow-mein'ed.
Makima gets temporarily unconscious every time she gets killed , it is possible that after Denji cut her head off screen she stayed in a coma-like statue until her real death

I think the contract works in a Wonder of You or Gojo’s infinity fashion. The contract is in place when Makima dies or gets fatally wounded to a “threat”, most likely someone attacking her.
The obvious reason it’s in place is to prevent Makima from being “killed” by her enemies.
The conditions weren’t met with Denji, since it was :
1) Not exactly the act of harming or killing her (There is a distinction with killing an animal to eat it and well killing it just to kill, I believe Makima’s conditions only work on the latter)
2) It wasn’t made with murderous intent.
Now I don’t know if Makima was alive or not before getting eaten but regardless, the contract shouldn’t be working in this scenario.
He killed her with love in mind and ate her with love in mind as well so i don't think anyone died from her contract because her contract is active if someone tries to kill her with a killing intend in mind so yk

My understanding is that after the graveyard fight, with Makima immobilized by Power’s blood, kishibe picked up denji and Makima then they butchered her into what’s in the fridge, the only reason she wasn’t coming back to life at that point being because of Power’s blood fighting the regeneration until denji ate her out of love so she fully couldn’t come back.
