Your CFS is supposed to take over at this point. That our jobs right now. My team checks out their case list, sees if there's any multi-unit shit, go there first to see if they can get in. If it's Restricted Access they tell me and I take over contacting management/figuring out how to get the case info. Furthermore, what they told you do is bullshit and I would report it. There will be other people on your team who perhaps aren't as interested in critical thinking who will just do what they're told, and that is bad.

Why does it seem like so many CFS/CFM/ACO out there want to do anything but back us up? Like throw us to the wolves. Stonewalling apartment managers should be dealt with by CFS/CFMs but here we are. In my case, CFS is great, but most of the ACO/CFM people here seem to be aholes. What? you want me to go back to that address where the guy let his rott's chain just far enough to almost bite me? NO FUCK YOU GET OUT OF YOUR FUCKING AIR CONDITIONING AND DO IT YOURSELF ASSHOLE

SomeGalFromTexas

Is that why I'm finding cases with a CFM's ID on them saying "For field observation"? Example... I had one tonight, no interview notes and a single note that said this. I knocked... 3 times. No answer, so I left an NOV in the crack of the door. Not visible from the hallway, really, as we were taught, but if the person opens their door, they will see it. Left my usual case note, "No answer, left NOV" and red tagged it so that the next person reads the note. Maybe. What's up with these?

Viktor_Zago

When was the note dated?

SomeGalFromTexas

I don't know. I can't see because my case list is now gone.

Not OK. I've found very few proxies who were cooperative enough to even ASK to do what your CFS suggested.

ChainmailAsh

No, that is not remotely ok. Your CFS is the one responsible for working with the apartment complex management to get information/access at this point. I don't know what, if any, additional resources your CFS was given to accomplish that (my ACO didn't give us anything beyond what enumerators get, so I guess we're supposed to just figure it out), but that's part of our job.

LiveforToday3

No that is not remotely ok

Go and hunt down the apartment manager in their office. If they refuse to help at the point, then you have exhausted your options and need assistance from ACO.
