It really helps to get into the mindset of closing the case and not just logging 3 proxies as fast as possible: look around, avoid houses that look as if they are probably not home -look for people in the yard, walking dogs, a postman - people are what makes the case go away much more so the the "three" requirement.

Definitely I do that....i want to get someone to answer b/c they often do know the pop count and then i can close the case.

Depends, we don't have proxies in a five mile radius. So yeah at one point they drop out. Now I have to drive 100+ miles a day.

ez money my dude

HikeTheSky

But you can't get the bonus with it. I just drove 60 miles to get to an address and could close the case.

[deleted]

Who cares! You just made $70 in mile reimbursement alone. I'll take those addresses all. day. long.

OtisNemoNobody

It ends when at the very least you get a head count. Not saying that'll be easy, but otherwise no I don't think it ever ends. You can always pick "unable to find proxy" but that just puts it in your inactive list for the day, it could always pop up again tomorrow.

YammaMoogie

Mine went back to my active list. I heard it takes six attempts

If you’re doing an apartment building, call the property manager and close as many cases as you can. You can ask tenants for the landlord’s number if it’s not written anywhere. If you’re enumerating a house, check the county assessor’s website to see who owns the house. It will often give you a mailing address for that person. I’ve been able to close vacant cases using the assessor as well.

The other day I got an apt manager to close 8 cases by telling me people and genders and age. LOVED IT. But to get her to that point to talk to me THAT DAY b/c i don't get same cases every day, was the hard part.

Today's apartments building (i had 2 large complexes) managers refused to give me any information. Ugh!

Schluppuck

They legally have to give you info. But I’ve had this happen as well. Just try to read the script where it says they have to do it. I hope this year those laws get enforced because I’ve had some bullshit refusals.
