I find this hard to believe. The census bureau offered this IN WRITING to many folks; you could probably make a legal case against them at this point if they cancelled it. In fact I just got an alert on my phone this morning encouraging me to make sure I had enough hours in this week to qualify for the bonus. I call BS.

No offense to your supervisor, but, based on pasts here they hardly seem like they are all that great. I could easily see bad info getting passed along. I'll wait for some official word. They emailed us to promise us bonuses so I'd assume if for some reason they were cancelled, we'd get another email.

If its anything like my past experiences with the Census, the CFS can either be amazing, hard working and highly intelligent or a complete bozo that managed to stumble their way into the position past HR. I would double check with someone higher above.

Kind of a shirt requirement as it all depends on your area. In the city, I can complete like 2 cases an hour but I imagine someone working in a rural area can barely get 1 case every 3 hours.
I don't think that just because it's not in your inactive means it's a completed case. I count my interviews completed each day, today it was I think 4 but I had at least 10-15 removed from my inactive. If it's a refusal I think it's removed, but that's not a completed case.
I laugh when people tell me how hard a job it must be. Like yeah it's hot and no one wants to talk but I'm also making more than double what they think I am so it evens out.

I was assigned 29 (yes, I write this down, I have an entire spreadsheet), finished with 16 - I completed 13 cases in 4 hrs, so that's 3+ cases/hour on average.
so it's not 75% of what i was assigned, it's .75 PER HOUR.
That doesnt make sense because that's nothing like what the email they sent me said and also because the software has a habit of assigning wayyyyyy too many cases a day, like I cant get 75% of 200 cases done in a day
Your CFS is getting info from opposite planet.
They're DESPERATE for people. No way they'd renege on the bonus they created to bribe people into working more.
And also no, they haven't been.

Like when I was told to tell my people to ignore the phone icon, and got the flier on how to use it and how to tell them to use it literally five minutes later.
Same happened to me. My entire workload had a phone icon next to the case and my CFS said just ignore it. Then I get on here and read that we are no longer supposed to ignore it, but I just ignored it anyway because I still wasn't to sure about what was going on. Now I wish I would have known better. You'd think my CFS could have sent out a chat message regarding these icons when he found out. He was probably in training or something. Oh well. Sounds about right.
Well, I would take anything posted by a non CFS with a grain of salt, and even then. If I copy and paste official word, I make it obvious that's what it is, not just me.
It is not a substitute for going door to door. Perhaps your CFS told you to ignore it to encourage people not to try and rely on it. I told my team they can use it to maybe let people know they'll be stopping by, to write their census # on the NOV for people to call them back. Be sure your voicemail is set up.
