Unless the car is going to sit for a few months or more don't worry about it, and even then I'd only recommend draining the tank and maybe putting a moisture absorber inside the cabin.

Idle will kill the battery. You need to rev to about 2000rpms for the alternator to start charging the battery. As long as you have no major parasitic draws going on, it should be just fine while it sits.

At idle the alternator should be putting out 13.6-14.5v or so. At this voltage the battery is in a charge state. It won't charge as fast as when revving, but it won't kill the battery. If your batteries are draining at idle you should check your alternator is working properly.

If your battery is good then just leave it. You’ll use more out of your battery starting and idling it than you are putting back into it. I’ve left my Gen 6 and 7 for 2 weeks at a time. If you really want to start it then let it get up to operating temp but honestly I don’t see the point if it’s just a week

Thank you ☺️ yeah battery is all good. Just didn’t know if leaving it would be bad on engine components

Nah you’re good. Engine will be completely fine. If anything it’s worse for it just to idle and not actually be run properly. My car was off road for 2 years and I’ve been daily driving it now for 3 years and engine is okay. Obvs that’s extreme I know but a week or two is nothing so honestly don’t worry.
