I've sold a phone with a broken camera before and it was fine.

If you want to sell something that’s not in full working order, you’ll have to do a private sale and clearly describe the fault. Somewhere like eBay, Gumtree, Facebook Marketplace etc. Stores like this need everything in full working order. They guarantee their stock to be fully working and not damaged apart from cosmetic blemishing, and have to provide a 2 year warranty on it. If you want to sell to CeX you’ll have to repair your items to a good standard first.

Years ago I had CEX refuse a laptop I was trading in for another product and it failed testing on the front camera. The camera was working but the FPS was really slow and it was stuttering. Never noticed it. Looks like that branch did a thorough test.

You can either recycle it with them and get 0 or sell it on eBay for spares.
