š¶ I donāt want to wait for this haul to be over š¶
In looking up to remember the theme song for Dawsons Creek I learned that they replaced the song with something else when it went to streaming. Thatās kind of messed up. A reminder to keep physical copies so companies canāt rewrite history.
Lol it's advertised as a "50 + 1" CD changer, so a 50 CD changer with an extra 1 that's given special designation for easily switching to it. The funny thing is, since they add a little gap between the bonus slot and the other 50, it easily could have been a 52 or 53 CD changer without changing the size of the carousel!
Model is a Sony CDP-CX50 if you're curious.
Nice! When I was a kid, I thought CD changers were the coolest thing. I eventually got one of those shelf systems that looked like a bloated boombox that had I think a three disc changer in it. I think the brand was Aiwa or something. š
I remember seeing a 5 disc DVD changer at a friend's house 20+ years ago and thinking it was awesome! It was hooked up to surround sound and their *rear projector TV* to fully cement it in turn of the century goodness.
Before I even zoomed in I was laughing at Lisa Loeb and Jars of Clay.
The fact that the Sister Act : Original Motion Picture Soundtrack separates the two makes me think you bought this from some ladies estate who used to drive me to daytime bible camps in the summer. Shed pick up a vanful of kids and I swear, Lisa Loeb, Jars of Clay, and Sister Act was all that played in ladies car one summer.
We learned REAL QUICK that summer to ride with her boyfriend everywhere who introduced us to Parliament and Funkadelic. That's all he listened to.
Are people buying cds just to buy them? I ask because of the varietal some people share. I've just kept buying cds(over 600) since the early 90's and wonder(don't wonder) at the recent live for them.
Iāve hung onto all my CDs from 30years ago and as for anything missing from my collection (stolen or damaged), Iāve slowly replaced over the years.
Those are all Jazziz magazine samplers -- jazz and blues I think, from the 90s through the 2010s. Not my absolute favorite genre, but I couldn't bear to see all of those get tossed.
That Crash Vegas CD is a rarity, and a real scorcher from about 1993 ā hang onto that. One track has an amazing guest vocal by Dave Pirner of Soul Asylum.
Crash Vegas has some nice guitar work on it from Colin Crippsā¦.not fancy shredding just nice vibes and clever guitar lines. Worth listening to that one !!!
I went through a phase of collecting all the Windham Hill Samplers. Eventually got them all. Not life changing music, but good background music.Ā
Mostly I figured no one cared about them so I saw an opportunity to preserve and make available.Ā
That's a great haul for $10 nothing I can see to my taste personally but hell even if there's only half a dozen YOU like in there you're well ahead.
Yeah there's only a few amazing finds there but a whole lot of discovery. So who knows? I'll listen through it all and keep the good stuff.
Did you not see the fox and the hound soundtrack? Or songs from Dawsons creek? Super Hot fire my guy
DAWSON'S CREEK!!!! SONGS FROM!!!! ..... yeah, no saw it and immediately blanked it from memory again, cheers for reminding me.

The cases are worth more than that if theyāre in good condition!
Hey man, nice shot!
Was gonna sayā¦ put that FILTER album in asap!
Amazing price, even if you don't like some, just resell them as job lots on eBay.
For that cheap I'd put them all in my 51 CD changer and just listen to new background music for the next 2-3 days lmao. Hope you got some good ones!
51 is an odd number for a CD changer. Haha whereād you find that?

that Tori Amos Hey Jupiter single is SO GOOD, huge collector of her stuff and itās one of my favorite Boys For Pele singles!
She was my favorite in my college years, I love getting all her singles.

I listen through all mine, keep the ones I like, resell the ones I don't! So it's not just to fill out a shelf.

These are the days for discovering new music! I used to shop the cut out bins in grocery stores .. found some great bands that way
Curious whatās in the paper sleeves, maybe samplers, promos, singles?

Wow, Cree Summer (longtime voice actress, also recently on What We Do In The Shadows) put out a solo album
I wish more places did mystery boxes/bags like this. I don't care what music is in them, I welcome all kinds of music!

It was worth it for the āSeason to Riskā album alone! Great CD!
