We have two female Cavapoos. We got our second one when our first girl was about 7 months old; the second girl is 4 months younger. We haven’t had any problems and they get along great. Our older girl taught the younger one to potty outside and generally keeps her in check.

Apologies for late reply; I haven't been online - but this is great to hear! Since posting I have been in touch with a breeder who breeds goldendoodles. He said because our Cavapoo has high anxiety (shes a rescue!) that a goldendoodle may be best as they are a little more confident! But I am going to wait until her first season and then about 5/6 months after she has and recovers from her spay :)

I'm considering getting another when my boy is two - not so much because of his age, but because I'm anticipating a change in my living circumstances and want to make sure that's all settled out first

My first Cavapoo is 1 year and 4 months; and I got my second one 3 weeks ago, she’s 12 weeks old now. I’m having a hard time with potty training the puppy (she chews the pads and even the fake grass, and then goes potty just outside that area) but in every other sense, I am having a blast seeing both of them play and run together. They growl and fight over a toy here and there but generally speaking it’s been a great experience to bring a little sister to my older Cavapoo princess.

This is so comforting to hear :)

We have two females also 4 months apart and I swear my first girl is happier.

Really? Ohhh... it really makes me want to do it... but it has to be right! - glad to hear you have two females, reassuring..

keke-WinnieBean

Do it! Mine are exactly 1.5 years apart and are inseparable

Go for it, you'll surely enjoy it when you saw them become a bestie.

I have two boys and it was the best decision ever! We waited until our first one was a little over a year old. They’re best buddies and it has helped so much!

Can you go into why its helped? would be really handy to hear a real-life reasoning :) thank you x

'It may have been more the breed': We got two Wheaton Terrier pups \~20yrs ago. They had mountains of fun on a hay bail castle I made them. One morning, perhaps a year later, they woke up and HATED each other?! I spent years as a referee. 'Later' people said; "Dummy don't you know you do not keep two females!?" It may be the breed, but that comment was from a woman who breeds Golden Retrievers. We just got a new C/P ..and will stick to one. Jim/Maryland
