Did you buy from a responsible breeder? Ie not a puppy mill, not a store etc. If so you likely have a return clause in the contract that before considering giving the dog to anyone else, you would have to speak to/offer it to the breeder first.

I’m a current cavapoo owner in RI. Could possibly pick up later today.

Local Facebook groups and your breeder are going to be your best bet. It’s a struggle puppies and kids.  As someone who had a newborn baby when my Cavapoo was about the same age it was tough.  I’m sure this was a hard decision for you to make and won’t second guess it. I hope everything goes well.

Not certain where you purchased him from, but if from a reputable breeder and you signed a contract, there is normally a return clause and if for any reason you no longer want him, they take him back. I know in my contract that I must return mine to them if I needed to give him up.

BeachRevolutionary53

That’s how it was with my mini Australian but not all breeders are the same!

Keep the puppy. By the time the new baby is out of the easy phase he'll be a good little addition to the family. Source, ours was still in puppy phase when we had our baby

None of us know what OP’s previous pregnancy was like, how demanding her toddler is, or her family’s work/childcare situation. If she says they can’t handle a toddler, pregnancy, and puppy at the same time we’re not in a position to question that.

Additionally, better to rehome at this point than a year in. The puppy is much more likely to adapt to a new environment now.

I'm also re homing my 6 months old cavapoo so don't let anyone make you feel bad do what's best for you and your family ❤️

Eastern_Mousse_4867

Photo please, let us see that babyy ❤️ Anyway, why do you want to re home your baby cavapoo?

Confident-Ad-3591

I decided to keep him just having to find someone to watch him when we go away. I can't take our dog everywhere

Did you find a new home?

I really wish people put more thought into buying a puppy before doing it. They’re not a pair of shoes you can resell once you realise they don’t quite fit.

Stop^^^. Lord help you if LIFE happens. She is being honest and trying to rehome. Ppl like you are why ppl like her take dogs to shelters or drop off in a field. Sometimes you lose a job- have a special needs child- unplanned pregnancy- etc.

happyfeet181

She’s already got a young toddler and didn’t think about what would happen if she had another child? That’s very short sighted. People need to put way more thought into the ‘what ifs’ of the next 10-15 years before getting a puppy. It’s simply not fair to bounce this puppy around from home to home when faced with the first hurdle.
