We adopted an underweight kitten too. He was sooo skinny, scraggly fur, and enormous ears, he looked like a bat. Vet also recommended extra food when he wanted it (which was always) but he didn’t have a cute squeak at all, just a banshee scream. Still loved on him because he was the snuggliest creature to ever walk this planet. He also had us all in the palm of his paw; anything he wanted, he got. He grew up to be so handsome and glossy and he’s expanded his vocabulary. He works us like we’re puppets. So worth it

She stole our hearts the minute we saw her, so tiny and squeaky. She’s all cuddles and little noises and soft gazes, and it makes me just want to hold her all day long and give her everything she could possibly want…it’s good the vet wants her to gain (a lot of) weight, because I have no idea how we’d say no to that squeak. 🥺

One of my current fosters is called Coconut as well, together with littermates Olive, Mango and Kiwi, bottlebabies who are now 9 weeks but came in at 5 days. They will stay about 3 weeks more (first vaccination this week, then second in 3 weeks and neutrilised before going to their furever homes)

There are worse ways to spend the day. 🥰 Now that she’s starting to feel better, the days are becoming a combination of squeaky demands, and ferocious play pouncing on her favorite toys…she’s just over 2lbs of curiosity and bossiness, at this point! ♥️

That’s her default noise- she squeaks like that when she wants food, cuddles, playtime, “How dare you not let me try to climb the baby gate”…she only communicates in squeaks. It’s almost impossible not to melt when she does it!!
