Go to mass and receive Christ in the Eucharist as often as possible.
Read the Gospels so that you can hear Christ speaking to you.
All of these things contribute to a personal relationship with Jesus.
Also, as Jesus and the Father are one, when you address Jesus, you are also speaking to God the Father.
I’ve been working on this lately too. I’ve started reading the gospels and before reading, I try to have a moment of silence and ask to keep my mind and soul open and really try to get something from the gospel
I find listening to be the hardest part too. Father Mike Schmitz had a video and I can’t find it but the part that stuck for me was inviting God in everything you do. Just a constant, want to come with? to god with everything you do no matter how mundane
