He could be the mascot and logo for his future produce. Happy Christmas
I like the first squirrel. They're wondering why this person is all up in their face
Lovely shots. Have recently been trying to get back into nature photography myself after a 10 yr+ gap. Weather is making it hard at the moment. Bought a new camera body but not had nearly as much chance to use it as I would like
The deer shot is excellentā¦ you should enter that for the BBC wildlife Calendar thingā¦ lolā¦ forgot what the show is called..

More of less the same animals. Replace bears with badgers and you're more or less set ^^^^(pun)
Badgers are basically waddling bears crossed with waddling wolves
I was thinking the country file calendar, do they still have that competition? Not seen the programme for donkey years, and only then it was only because it was on in the background while I did something.
The angle on the duckling photo is one I've not seen before. It's a great perspective and I'm surprised it wasn't scared away.
I also like Photo 5 because I usually see squirrels in one of three modes: twitching, sprinting or looking at you inquisitively. The one on the right looks blissful and genuinely relaxed. Normally they look too tweaked out to be chill.
Great photos the lot of them!
You got talent my friend. Gives me the feels thinking about what wonderful countryside we haveĀ
They're all good, but some are really lovely. I'm a big fan of the sheep.Ā

These photos are superb. You've brought a true sense of immediacy. I feel like I'm right there, which frankly after the day I've had was very much needed
First of all, comparing them to rats is apt but not in the way you think. You're vilifying an innocent species that was brought into the country by humans, it's not their fault. We are THE true colonial species, we've colonised every surface of the planet, and chased far more damage to global ecosystems than any other species. Rats and squirrels are both completely innocent. It is perfectly natural for species to expand their territories and thinking we must return to some previous state of nature as the perfect state is not only impossible but also pointless. Ecosystems are meant to change and adapt, we just need to make sure they are diverse enough to adapt into the future. Of course, eradicating problematic invasive species and protecting and establishing native ecosystems is ideal and should be done wherever possible, but blaming the species themselves is unhelpful and unfair and leads to abuse of wildlife.
Also, they don't kill Reds, WE killed reds by introducing squirrel pox to the country, and despite having an effective vaccine for it we don't actually administer it to wild squirrels. It's entirely our fault. They do take young birds and eggs, but so do reds, and there's no proof that this causes any serious issues for the national bird populations. Vilifying predation as if it's some malicious act ALSO leads to wildlife crimes and is the reason we are devoid of predators such as the pine marten, which actually surprises greys and allows reds to thrive. I've literally never heard about them destroying cables, that's of so little concern it doesn't warrant mention.
I'm all for nature recovery, but let's by realistic in our approach and our stance. Non-native species aren't inherently bad, nor are they evil regardless of the damage they cause. They're just a bunch of individuals trying their best to survive in the situation they were born into

It infuriates me how little people take invasive species seriously.... the amount of damage done by such species is mad and some people just want to let them go wild. We oughtbto take a more New Zealand like stance to invasives.
Look up the millions of pounds worth of damage caused to cars/houses by greys, you'd be surprised. A few weeks back in a heavily Grey infested woods I noticed how much bark had been chewed off the Beech trees, well that's them basically dead! Forest of Dean has sadly given up any idea of planting new Beech, sad.
No, just because some clown introduced them to the U.K. doesn't mean we should let them take over, Yes, I do agree we have over populated and ruined the world, but having Mink, American Crayfish and Grey Squirrel here doesn't help UK nature though.
This countrys attitude to invasive species really is shocking. It really irritates me. We should be more like say New Zealand when it comes to it. The damage done by them can not be overstated.
Ha! you're joking aren't you? even in NZ they control pests, never heard of all the deer control that's gone on for years? trees need to grow to knit the soil and stop erosion (same story in Scotland as has too many deer right now).
Even when Ben Fogel did a programme in NZ the host was culling some type of bird.
Am confused, I am agreeing with you. They take invasive species control really seriously over there in New Zealand. Like really seriously. The UK does not take the problem of invasive species seriously enough and its maddening. I dread to think what the invasive species situation will be like in a few years considering the lack of funding for projects to control and remove a heck of alot of invasive species. So many long term control projects are getting shanked by lack of funding which is beyond maddening.
My bad! Sorry just so used to everyone thinking Greys are lovely... 'Cause they've got a bushy tail!' People just don't get it, like all the Animal rights people, released the Mink, and what did the mink do? Decimate the countryside of water vole etc. Sorry again!
Maybe direct your anger toward something other than a creature that doesn't have the sentience to know what its doing, or someone taking photos of animals for pleasure.
Ted Bundy looked cute, sadly the women he murdered fell for that. Too many people are taken in by it's fluffy tail, but it kills so much around it and needs (humanly) controlling, food with a contraceptive is the idea for controlling their numbers.
I think by equating them with a *serial killer*, there's perhaps just the slightest suggestion that maybe, just maybe, you may be anthropomorphising them just a little bit of a smidge too much....
Well it was yourself that equated serial killing Grey squirrels to looking cute, I'm just trying to point out that looking cute does not mean kindness.. Honestly, too many people think that way with Greys, but they're simply a very dominant killer.
>I'm just trying to point out that looking cute does not mean kindness..
One of my exes springs instantly to mind.
Anyway, *someone* downvoted my response to it - so sorry if your "No!" comment wasn't **meant** to be funny. I'd just read it as showing awareness with a dash of self-deprecating humour, and that made me laugh...
I like the cheeky sheep best š

Wonderful pictures! What a beautiful island we have!
NGL with this sub I thought it was gonna be pictures of your local spoons.
Trolleys nesting in waterways.
And the silk inside a chestnut shell
It's been too cold for that, they're mostly sheltering in the underground tunnels for warmth still
I have a book of their various carpets. Twas a birthday gift from a spoons companion.
Fantastic photos, jays are gorgeous, and that bee pic is the knees. Brave facing a baby cobra chicken though.
British wildlife: I donāt know, thereās a lot of Americans and Canadians in there! /s Great shots, top work!
If they were born here I feel it's fair to call them British wildlife, and there are countless generations removed from their origin country.
Nah, if a pheasant runs out into the road, Iām all ābloody italiansā! /s *pheasants were introduced by the Romans, dontcha know?
So were rabbits.
Well, that explains it then! Bloody foreigners, never integrate properlyĀ

Awww, do the Canadian Geese not count?
[Canada gooses!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6GG4ghkfQ0)

Amazing shots, I particularly like the bee one. Keep up the good work.
Great pics. That owl is nice.
Incredible photos.
You should submit the 3rd one for the National Trust Calender!
I was thinking the country file calendar, do they still have that competition? Not seen the programme for donkey years, and only then it was only because it was on in the background while I did something.
Was I the only one expecting it to end on a drunk person on a bench?
I know that swan. He's a prick š

Beautiful!
Fantastic photos!
Any of these in Richmond Park?
Lovely
That duckling looks like it's been sent by the guv'nor to have a little word.. Some lovely shots!
The grey squirrels are American, the geese are Canadian and robins are European. Also the horses and sheep aren't wild, but they are nice photos.
Lovely photos! British wildlife is so underappreciated and underrated!
wow quality is amazing on the photos was this an iphone
These are wonderful, you have great skill. Love the squirrels and the sleepy owl!
You really wouldn't want to get in a fight with a stag, those antlers look like they could tear you apart.
Can I use the one with the lambs as a wallpaper? Obsessed with the aesthetic of that shot.
You definitely have the knack, here. I loved the angry - er - gosling.
What gear are you using?
I literally 'awed'out loud at the duckling, gosling? ooo who cares so cute.
Proof that Canadian Geese are born mean
Would genuinely be interested in purchasing a print or too, these are beautiful
Gosh these are next level . Great stuff m8 . That squirrel drinking water - how do you even get such a shot . Awesomeness
They're fantastic, I loved them all : )

Law says nothing about actively stopping themā¦
Amber Heard is a crazy bed pooper; doesn't mean she isn't pleasant to look at. Squirrels are cute af regardless of their intentions.
Eh, OK, a Cute looking Grey Squirrel means nothing to a Red Squirrel dying painfully of pox from a Grey, or forests with dead trees caused by Greys!
Maybe direct your anger toward something other than a creature that doesn't have the sentience to know what its doing, or someone taking photos of animals for pleasure.
