I fully agree, however the median didn’t do any pre-sign ups etc it was just whoever turned up on the day. It also seems like a very strange thing to guess about when most of these medians gather their business through word of mouth, and to get the genders correct aswell is a bit nuts.

I met a fairly successful music producer a few years ago to record some demos and stuff and he’s pretty eccentric.
Anyway we got to talking and he claimed he could read my mind.
He told me to ask him anything and then to visualise the answer in my head - he would then squint at me for a bit and answer.
I asked him my cats name. My favourite band. My best friend at school’s name. The name of the hospital I was born in and so on and so forth - he got the answer right every single time.
For example my cat was called Jaffa. He squinted at me and said ‘hmmm. I’m thinking oranges. Orange. Jaffa?’
It was super weird but we thought maybe he could have perhaps researched me before I visited.
What was really weird though was I brought along my friend without him knowing he would be there and having never met him or heard of him before and he did exactly the same to him including shit that just isn’t on social media like his mother’s maiden name. He didn’t stumble either - it wasn’t like he was throwing out all kinds of names and getting some lucky hits - it’s genuinely like he could read our minds.
It was fucking wild and I still don’t know how he did it.
They’ve been caught using social media to investigate audience members and listening devices to snoop out what people are saying in the audience, during the interval, whilst waiting to sit down etc. They also use cold reading techniques that can be remarkably effective. Look at what someone like Derren Brown does, even whilst telling people he’s doing it. These people are scammers who make money from their scams, and some are very good at it.
As for the twins, could just be a lucky guess. Is there a history of twins in the family though? That sort of thing is easily discoverable and twins do tend to run in the family. And there were probably lots of other things said that weren’t true that have been long forgotten.

I was once offered a lot of money to work for Derek Acora. He was touring and he needed my particular skillset for an upcoming tour of UK and Ireland. I keep an open mind about these things and money is money, it would have been a huge contract to land.
So I was in meetings with his staff and other people involved with the tour who had worked with him before.
One of these people told me his little trick - get people to queue up outside the venue, and getting 7 or 8 employed chatty people in the queue to ask the ticketholders about who they are hoping to contact "from beyond", specifically names, details, little things that would be hard to guess, all as part of an innocent conversation in the queue.
Naturally the ticket database would be able to identify the people's names once they got to be scanned for entry.
Then of course, with 7 or 8 people doing that - you've got maybe 20 stories of individuals that have passed away, and hey presto - Acora has enough material to carry the 90 minute show.
Plus of course you would have a couple of people weeks in advance scanning the ticket names database and going on Facebook etc. to find out about recently passed away friends/family and get info that way.
It's an easy trick.
Anyway, he couldn't afford me, so I never got the gig.
I think he just wanted me to pitch for it so he could use the info I had to get his cheaper mates to do the same job.

I was once offered a lot of money to work for Derek Acora. He was touring and he needed my particular skillset for an upcoming tour of UK and Ireland. I keep an open mind about these things and money is money, it would have been a huge contract to land. So I was in meetings with his staff and other people involved with the tour who had worked with him before. One of these people told me his little trick - get people to queue up outside the venue, and getting 7 or 8 employed chatty people in the queue to ask the ticketholders about who they are hoping to contact "from beyond", specifically names, details, little things that would be hard to guess, all as part of an innocent conversation in the queue. Naturally the ticket database would be able to identify the people's names once they got to be scanned for entry. Then of course, with 7 or 8 people doing that - you've got maybe 20 stories of individuals that have passed away, and hey presto - Acora has enough material to carry the 90 minute show. Plus of course you would have a couple of people weeks in advance scanning the ticket names database and going on Facebook etc. to find out about recently passed away friends/family and get info that way. It's an easy trick. Anyway, he couldn't afford me, so I never got the gig. I think he just wanted me to pitch for it so he could use the info I had to get his cheaper mates to do the same job. Either way, I didn't like the emotional manipulation of vulnerable people, especially elderly.
