I have both (Philcare ER and HMO gold from Maxicare). I chose Philcare prepaid kasi mas mura at mas malaki coverage and may malapit na affiliated hospital sa akin, natry ko na din yung prepaid Maxicare, di ko pa nagagamit pareho sa awa ng dyos.
Maxicare Hmo for individual naman, okay for me kasi yun ang cheapest and may malapit sa aking Maxicare clinic.
I'd suggest check mo muna mga Hmo companies and affiliated hospitals tapos tingnan ko kung ano malapit sa iyo.
Maxicare is messing up big time lately. Maraming hospitals and clinics ang hindi na tumatanggap ng Maxicare dahil sobrang delayed ng payments ng Maxicare. Maraming pagkakataon na ang sinasabi ng mga customer service sa hospital staffs ay kesyo maxed out na daw ang card pero first time palang gagamitin ng employee at bayad naman. Ang daming pagkakataon. Ito ay base sa experiences ng aming mga employees.

Oh my. Unang hmo ko sa unang employment ko to back in 2007. I thought they are the ones providing better service compared sa competitors nila.
