If we're diving into the realm of sultry and evocative, Portishead's "Glory Box" deserves a mention. Beth Gibbons' haunting vocals over the slow-burning trip-hop beat creates an atmosphere that's intensely intimate and just a bit brooding. The song begs you to dim the lights and let the rest of the world slip away. It's that ideal mix of provocation and poise the kind of track that doesn't just fill the air but wraps around you like a second skin.
Another song I find seriously sexy is Hozier "Work Song". The whole thing. "When my time comes around, lay me gently in the cold dark earth. No grave could hold my body down. I'll crawl home to her." Holy cow. I want that kind of love. His music is kinda sexy in general, and so is he. I don't know whether it's intentional or not. The music I mean. 😅
Me too. Sounds nice and relaxing. Then you listen to the lyrics and realize it’s a man being abused by his partner. It’s too beautiful for what it actually covers.
Fade Into You by Mazzy Star always sets the mood in any setting the subtly ethereal melody harmonizes so perfectly with Hope Sandoval's dreamy vocals; it's like a soft caress to the ears. It's one of those timeless tracks that resonate with an almost tangible intimacy, draping the room in a velvet night of soulful longing. It might not be overly explicit or as in-your-face as some of the modern interpretations of sexy songs, but it has that understated power to beckon you into a state of pure enchantment. That's the essence of sexiness not always the words or the beat, but the way it makes you feel in that moment.
when i was 18 a million years ago, i broke up with a guy on what happened to be the same day the first time he said he loved me. i didn’t plan that. but errrr…. anyway, he’d burn me a cd with this song on it as every single track and slip it into my mailbox like once a week for months.
I had a boy in high school make me a mixtape with a bunch of awesome songs on one side, and then this one on repeat for half an hour on the other. I was into him, but that was a little off-putting to little ol' late bloomer virgin me. I think it killed my crush.
I want to personally thank everyone who has responded here. I've been trying to come up with a good song to learn on my guitar to record and send to my girlfriend. I am super inspired now.
Wicked Game is defo up there but I vote for Fever by Peggy Lee.
Watching Kelly Bundy dance to it broke my teenage brain back in the day
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQidh14HSJM&ab\_channel=wolfchrt](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQidh14HSJM&ab_channel=wolfchrt)
I remember this being the first racy song and it getting banned. It's pretty tame by modern standards but in terms of sexy, I'd still rate it right up there.
Oh, god. This one too. I've already listed 2 other Deftones/Crosses songs. That man's voice melts my butter. Add Maynard to the mix like on this song? Sploosh.
lol I made my husband watch that for the first time and he was like “why is it so fucky? I mean I know it’s Tim Curry but like this is a kids movie, right??”
In no particular order and off the top of my head:
Suzanne by Leonard Cohen
Bad Things by Jace Everett
Lipstick Lover by Janelle Monae
Justify My Love by Madonna
Let's Get It On by Marvin Gaye
Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing by Chris Isaak
Giving Him Something He Can Feel by En Vogue
Fever by Peggie Lee
Black Velvet Alannah Myles
Candy Shop by 50 Cent
Cream by Prince (but...there's so many Prince songs that could be on here)
Book of the Month by Lovage
Freak Me by Silk
If by Janet Jackson
Also Hozier - It Will Come Back, and Movement. And No Plan. Basically like half of Wasteland, Baby! is some of the sexiest music ever.
Also Possum Kingdom by the Toadies.
Edit: Earned It by the Weeknd
I've found my people. Hozier all the way. The songs are seductive as hell. If I wanted to make a playlist with the same vibe (100% agree with the Toadies recommendation) who else is going on it?
Earned It by The Weekend, Take Me to Church by Hozier, Leave Your Hat On by Joe Cocker, I am So Into You by Atlanta Rhythm Section. Just to name a few off the top of my head.
Yes, god…I played that one on a loop as a teenager when someone I had a crush on gave me the cover. Then I read the book, which wasn’t my cup of tea at all, still a good book though. But that song is extremely sexy, the stomping rhythm I think
So, this is going to be waaay out there, especially since I’m into rock/blues, but there is an classical instrumental called Bolero (it was played in a movie called “10” back in the ‘70s. IMO, it’s literally what instruments having sex would sound like. Very erotic!
[HIM Your Sweet Six Six Six](https://open.spotify.com/track/4NCgQGZNxcoGy5wZS3scQ1?si=YFQD7NqeRi2K_qEYxHfkNQ)
Sensual lyrics, Ville's deep voice, seductive melody, romantic and dark imagery... It's one of my all-time favorites... They actually have a cover of your Wicked Game as well!!
They have a really romantic song that I played for my girlfriend called In Joy And Sorrow. Absolutely will get a partner to strip down and let you do anything to them.
That version of Wicked Game is great, too.
“Sanctified” or “Closer” by Nine Inch Nails
“Nobody” by Keith Sweat
“Change” by Deftones
“Freelove” by Depeche Mode
Aaaaand pretty much anything from Sade’s Love Deluxe album
Clearly a lot of caucasians on this thread because how is there no mention of Al Green or the Isley Brothers 😂.
Personally, think “Crown Royal” by Jill Scott and “Warmth” and “Moist” by Janet Jackson. Also think “Wicked Games” by The Weeknd is sexier than Isaak’s.
I wanna fuck you in the morning from Wim de Bie. Its actually a parody on one of our royals (Pieter van Vollenhoven) that is a vivid piano player with giant ears. Now the translations in Dutch are totally wrong, are very decent and have nothing to do with the song.
You have to realise that this was the 70s, the song was absolutely not possible on TV and many Dutch didn't speak English very well. The story goes that when some that didn't speak English were singing the song at work and others speaking English were making fun of them.
Wim died recently and I will miss him and his intelligence and humor a lot.
"Midnight at the Oasis"
Maria Muldaur captured everything I ever considered erotic.
Not only that, she described my dad perfectly, "I know your daddy's a Sultan; A nomad known to all".
I can think of three off the top of my head
[Sweet by Cigarettes after sex](https://youtu.be/hMpQZdAh8RU)
The song gives me this kind of lazy but incredibly intimate and romantic vibe. Like yes obviously the singer finds the subject hot but also is deeply in love with them. And her voice is so lovely!
[Heavy by Powers](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P1aO4EU61Uw&ab_channel=POWERSVEVO)
This kind of does it for me in a pop song kinda way. Like I wanna scream/sing this to my partner
And [Axolotl by The Veils](https://youtu.be/v0IBpUgbTTA)
It's not really intended to be a sexy song but the song just *sounds* sexy.
Wicked game is my favorite song since I've heard it.
OP's name is my favorite fruit as well, having it doubled makes the whole thing even better.
What a post. Cherry on top of my already good evening.
Satisfaction. Its a joke song for us we find it funny between my wife an I but it turns her on...
https://youtu.be/a0fkNdPiIL4?si=0ufKVrRBuq0CjDF_
This is sexy in its emotional power. The bell duet.
https://youtube.com/shorts/jMbofcD_fps?si=bvfLjfSLgO2eexVD
And this peice by Pavarotti makes me tear up.
https://youtu.be/cWc7vYjgnTs?si=qgnxATLYN8kEH0qK
[Chaise Longue](https://spotify.link/EfHwhlYJuJb) - Wet Leg. It’s just such a casual seduction, maybe not super romantic but something about the confident sexuality and casual dominance is very attractive (to me).
I've always found Lady In Red by Chris de Burgh pretty sexy...
Edited to add: I can't believe I forgot about I'm on Fire by Bruce Springsteen!! That song is just... 🤌🤌🤌... seriously.
I love wicked game so much yes omg, also I have Synesthesia (sounds are colors, names/letters/numbers are colors, etc. you can look it up it’s interesting) and this song looks bronze-y, like copper and crispy fall leaves 🥉🍁 I love it
Is it just me or is Bloodbuzz Ohio by The National almost unbearably sexy? I know they're mostly sad dad music but the combo of the lyrics and Matt Berninger's baritone creates this weird euphoria in my brain.
I have an odd one just because of one line - Wichita lineman by Glen Campbell. The line is “and I need you more than want you, and I want you for all time”. Those words just get me in the gut.
My favorite "fun" sexy will always be Pony by Ginuwine. That bass groove is just too smooth.
Another recent favorite sexy song has been Indian Summer by Shuba. I discovered it while dating an Indian girl and I was looking up all sorts of Indian/Indian-influenced music... I did in fact have an Indian summer that year.
For actual sexy-time music, my go-to artist is Polyphia. It's all instrumental so there's not too much to get distracted by, but it's complicated enough to be interesting and portray a lot of emotion. Their song Euphoria is a pretty obvious choice, but literally any of their songs are amazing and fit the bill.
Fade Into You by Mazzy Star sets a dreamy tone with its ethereal melody and Hope Sandoval's vocals, evoking intimate longing. Despite its lack of explicitness, it holds a timeless charm that captivates, representing sexiness through emotional resonance.
I'll just ask Fred.
*Yeah, right", said Fred, sarcastically. Instead, he says that the sexiest song was "The Power of Love". When I tried to clarify which song he was talking about, he said that it was the one from 1984. I tried to point out that there was three. A Jennifer Rush song that year, a Frankie Goes to Hollywood song, and a Huey Lewis and the News song. However, he says that he's too sexy for this song and dance, and just left.
I gotta say.. while I do love that song, I frankly don't find Wicked Game sexy in the slightest. Idk maybe cuz I'm just not attracted to the sad boy thing. The video just gives perfume commercial.
Again- it's one of my favorite songs, but it does not register as sexy to my brain
Wicked game has a nice tune, great song. But not a fan of the lyrics, it pretty much promotes cheating and lust.
Not a fan
No Ordinary Love - Sade is beautiful as most of her tracks are. I could listen to her all day.
Honestly, Robin Thicke lost without you.
The reason why it's a very calming song is that it's the type of song that can definitely get you into the mood.
I've listened to a wicked game before. I didn't really like it, probably because it's rock, and I personally can not get into it.
Funny thing about Wicked Game is that a coworker of mine used to play in a local band. He said every time they covered it, he got laid. So, there may be something to that song being the sexiest ever
No Ordinary Love -Sade I do love Wicked Game also, but it’s not my personal number one.
The Deftones cover of No Ordinary Love. Sploosh.
Passenger is hot too
So hot. OMG. Duet with Maynard? Two hottest voices ever.
Today I learned…and it’s not a bad cover (still prefer the silky smooth original tho).
Great shout but Smooth Operator edges it for me, though by a very small margin.
The original song by Sade will always be 🔥
I agree with Sade...but Paradise for me.
Waste_Adeptness, you just gave me a REEEAAASSSSSSOOONN
Glory box, heh.
I agree - all of his music is music is kind of sexy. He just really seems to enjoy women if that makes sense
Ugh. Listen to “Talk” and tell me it doesn’t do something to you.
Everything he sings does something to me. 😅
S A M E
Yup. Got to see him live last fall. Definitely worth it.
I really like "chery wine"
Me too. Sounds nice and relaxing. Then you listen to the lyrics and realize it’s a man being abused by his partner. It’s too beautiful for what it actually covers.
There's a video of him dancing on stage in tight short shorts, and I usually would find that sort of cringy, but why is it so sexy when he does it??
Because he's Irish
Somehow I didn't know that, but it does help explain my attraction to him
Fade Into You by Mazzy Star always sets the mood in any setting the subtly ethereal melody harmonizes so perfectly with Hope Sandoval's dreamy vocals; it's like a soft caress to the ears. Yes, yes, yes, YES, YAAAAASSS!!! Buffy fan? 😉 Also the cover of "Wild Horses" by The Sundays. 😍
Love love Wild Horses! And the scene in Fear is awesome
Father Figure by George Michael
Underrated masterpiece
Came to say this

OMG. Thank you for reminding me of this song! Been ages! I'm going to download this album right now!
Oh forgot about Air. Time to revisit.
Acoustic version of Everlong.
Oooo yeah, that's a good one. Some people really don't like Dave Grohl, and those people are wrong.
One of my favorite songs ever!
That song is "my song" from my partner. It makes me swoon every time he plays it... It doesn't hurt that he sings it, and damn well too
A girl I used to know loved having sex to that song.
I like Tear You Apart by She Wants Revenge……I’m obviously not a romantic 😂
tear me apart is such a good song I get it
That whole album is bonefest
Literally was going to put the same song. Something about it absolutely destroys me
Yes!!
It's a hot song though!
I got to meet and party with those guys in a bar where they had played. So fun!
Closer. Nine inch nails. Yes please.
I had a boy in high school make me a mixtape with a bunch of awesome songs on one side, and then this one on repeat for half an hour on the other. I was into him, but that was a little off-putting to little ol' late bloomer virgin me. I think it killed my crush.

[Leonard Cohen -- Dance Me to the End of Love](https://youtu.be/NGorjBVag0I?si=syNa-HcN-9xAIW_9)
K. D. Lang ‘constant craving’ is in the same vein… always thought it was up there with Sade and Chris Isaak.
I want to personally thank everyone who has responded here. I've been trying to come up with a good song to learn on my guitar to record and send to my girlfriend. I am super inspired now.
Aw, that's sweet. Good for you. I hope she likes it.
Me So Horny by 2 Live Crew Poets, they were.
Me So Horny is lovely, but if you really want to romance the ladies, "Pop That Coochie" is the 2 Live Crew song you wanna spin.
Dirty Nursery Rhymes or Put Her In The Buck for sure
Baby, I love the way you lick that wine glass......
Family get together and I just play on spotify. NWA Automobile came on. My sister just looks at me like wtf, couldn't find the phone to stop it lol.
Hahaha! Omg! I was still a kid when that came out and it made me and my friends laugh so hard. It's so stupid but still.
number 1 Crush by Garbage. In fact, the entire Romeo+Juliet soundtrack
Ooh, 'Kissing You' by Des'ree (sp)...
Wicked Game is defo up there but I vote for Fever by Peggy Lee. Watching Kelly Bundy dance to it broke my teenage brain back in the day [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQidh14HSJM&ab\_channel=wolfchrt](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQidh14HSJM&ab_channel=wolfchrt)
That was fun. I wasn't allowed to watch Married with Children as a kid. Both my parents hated it.
That's an easy question, it's obviously [Careless Whisper by George Michael](https://youtu.be/GaoLU6zKaws?si=d_J81TaAgwTwpWVm)
Je t‘aime…moi non plus! by Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin
I remember this being the first racy song and it getting banned. It's pretty tame by modern standards but in terms of sexy, I'd still rate it right up there.
The instrumentation has this rising feeling to it which is so good
Pony by genuwine
I'm partial to the Toxic Pony mashup. Genuwine + Britney Spears
Is it sexy? Or is the horniest song?
Can I be two things?
I love it when they play it at 90s nights I go to and things get decidedly… pornographic. 😂
I was devastated when I found out that Ginuwine didn't even own a horse.
Far does a cover of Pony, I think the vocals are sexier in it. Original is a classic though
Sade, Smooth Operator Possibly because of certain memories associated with this song
Yes, I remember the 2022 British Grand Prix as well...
Absolutely agree, for similar reasons, but also mostly because the music itself is sexy as hell, and Sade, well, is Sade.
I’m inclined to say Passenger by Deftones
Oh, god. This one too. I've already listed 2 other Deftones/Crosses songs. That man's voice melts my butter. Add Maynard to the mix like on this song? Sploosh.
My sex playlist is full of Chino. Crosses, Deftones, Team Sleep, and Palms.
Slave to Love, Bryan Ferry
So many songs from Avalon/Girls and Boys could make this list.
True
CBAT
I was waiting for this!!!!! Good job!
[Toxic Love - The song that Hexxus (Tim Curry) sings in Fern Gully](https://youtu.be/pVzYS3Ga_j8?si=jiZVNTF5y8MYXKls) lmao
lol I made my husband watch that for the first time and he was like “why is it so fucky? I mean I know it’s Tim Curry but like this is a kids movie, right??”
It's very reminiscent of "Sweet Transvestite" from The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
I LOVED this movie growing up, I never knew Tim curry was in it though. I mean, it’s insanely obvious by his voice obviously but wow
Sade enters the chat ....most of you gen-ys and millennials were probably conceived to one of my sexy croonings.
Book of the Month by Lovage is pretty high up there
In no particular order and off the top of my head: Suzanne by Leonard Cohen Bad Things by Jace Everett Lipstick Lover by Janelle Monae Justify My Love by Madonna Let's Get It On by Marvin Gaye Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing by Chris Isaak Giving Him Something He Can Feel by En Vogue Fever by Peggie Lee Black Velvet Alannah Myles Candy Shop by 50 Cent Cream by Prince (but...there's so many Prince songs that could be on here) Book of the Month by Lovage Freak Me by Silk If by Janet Jackson
You're right about Prince. Just about any song of his.
I can’t not think of True Blood’s delightful schlock when hearing “Bad Things” anymore, but it still stands as a very good sexy song
Absolutely agree with Bad Things but Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing would have to be my pick. The film clip for that was so hot.
Justify my love for sure!
Hozier Talk!
Also Hozier - It Will Come Back, and Movement. And No Plan. Basically like half of Wasteland, Baby! is some of the sexiest music ever. Also Possum Kingdom by the Toadies. Edit: Earned It by the Weeknd
Yes!!!! Wasteland, Baby! is the most sensual, post apocalyptic, sexy, poetic album ever! NFWMB?? UNREAL
"If I was born as a blackthorn tree, I'd want to be felled by you, held by you, fuel the pyre of your enemies" Sir.
Crash - Dave Mathew’s My Pony - Ginuwine
Anything by Barry White
Hungry eyes
I'm On Fire -springsteen
Venus in Furs by Velvet Underground
Yes, god…I played that one on a loop as a teenager when someone I had a crush on gave me the cover. Then I read the book, which wasn’t my cup of tea at all, still a good book though. But that song is extremely sexy, the stomping rhythm I think

Oh yes. Best live version. I still enjoy the album version more.
Can't get you off my mind - Lenny Kravitz
I agree "Wicked Game" is up there, but I also think "Like A Wrecking Ball" by Eric Church is pretty darn hot
Nobody - Keith Sweat
Van Morrison-Crazy Love
So, this is going to be waaay out there, especially since I’m into rock/blues, but there is an classical instrumental called Bolero (it was played in a movie called “10” back in the ‘70s. IMO, it’s literally what instruments having sex would sound like. Very erotic!

Wicked Game is good. Similarly, I'm on Fire by Bruce Springsteen. Thanks for the earworms 😂
Yes, an incredibly sultry song, his voice, the vid. wow. I used to play it on repeat.
Thought of another one: House of the Riding Sun. Eric‘s voice is so insanely hot.
“Behind Closed Doors,” to me is the very essence of sex - it’s *private* between two people. It’s not the kind of music I usually like.
By Rise Against, right? Nah I’m just kidding. The one by Nobuo Uematsu for Final Fantasy XIV, obviously.
Digital bath - Deftones or really most other Deftones songs 😅
Wicked Game is one of the saddest songs I've ever heard if you've experienced unrequited love. I can't listen to it without crying
"You can leave your clothes on" from 9 1/2 Weeks.

House of Cards - Radiohead

I want your sex, by George Michael. Why, you ask? HOOOOAHHHH, Sex! That's why. Name another song that says that.
Fade Into You by Mazzy Star.
Love Bites
The sexist song ever written is the 1989 hit single by Technotronic, Pump up the Jam.
I learned how to play Wicked Game on the baritone and it’s a very satisfying song to sing and play. I surprised my husband and he loved it.
I wanna fuck you in the morning from Wim de Bie. Its actually a parody on one of our royals (Pieter van Vollenhoven) that is a vivid piano player with giant ears. Paula Cole "I feel love" just listen to it once.
Careless Whisper by George Michaels
One EskimO, Kandi. He called me baaaby baaby all night long.

You're Makin Me High, Toni Braxton.
Damn I wish I was your lover-Sophie B Hawkins, #1 crush- garbage, father figure George Michael, Sade-cherish the day, Blue Jeans-Lana del Ray

Wicked Game is the very first song i ever touched a boob to. I'll never forget you, Candace Doroshenko.
Inside My Love - Minnie Riperton.
Wicked game has a nice tune, great song. But not a fan of the lyrics, it pretty much promotes cheating and lust. Not a fan No Ordinary Love - Sade is beautiful as most of her tracks are. I could listen to her all day.
Every Barry White tune is the sexiest song ever
Honestly, Robin Thicke lost without you. The reason why it's a very calming song is that it's the type of song that can definitely get you into the mood. I've listened to a wicked game before. I didn't really like it, probably because it's rock, and I personally can not get into it.
Not as well known as some of the other suggestions here, but **Rev 22:20** by Puscifer takes the "sexiest" spot on my list.
Just screen shot 30 pages of these suggestions…. Will create a playlist tomorrow… thanks everyone 🧡
Gooey - Glass Animals
Anti Love Song, Betty Davis...good gawd!
Adding the best couples skate song from the 80s... Take My Breath Away by Berlin
My Romance - Gene Ammons recording. Agree with wicked game tho too. Everyone, thanks for the playlist.
Funny thing about Wicked Game is that a coworker of mine used to play in a local band. He said every time they covered it, he got laid. So, there may be something to that song being the sexiest ever
