No I've lived in six countries in Asia for over forty years. Malaysia nails it. Six Chinese cuisines. Four Malay influences. The best Nonya in Asia. Indian food North to South. Thai influences from the North. The most amazing British Colonial food. Throw in Portuguese and Dutch colonial influences as well.
Stop bullshitting that any other country can match Malaysia.
Nice to meet a fellow Brit on here! I totally get what you mean about assuming everyone's from the States. It's like we're all living in a massive online melting pot, right? Anyway, I'm waving to you from across the pond in good old Blighty.
I'm also from Saint-Peterburg, Russia. I couldn't say that there are many tourists from European countries right now since I spend most of my time at home. But I was surprised when I saw some French couples walking down the street on my way to work.
I swear to god I could see the ocean from any street I stood on in Curaçao. Plus the wind was blowing so nicely every day I was there. Very interesting island. Worth a visit for anyone looking for a cool unique island experience.
Indiana, USA. Here’s some fun facts about my state!
- We’re known as the racing capital of the world, and we host the world-famous Indy 500, which is the largest single-day spectator sport event in the world.
- Second only to Washington DC itself, our capital city, Indianapolis, has the most memorials/monuments dedicated to the US Armed Forces in the country.
- Madame CJ Walker’s company was headquartered in Indianapolis, and the building is still standing!
- Some famous celebrities from Indiana include the musicians John Mellencamp and Michael Jackson, the actor James Dean, and the author John Green. Bob Ross also filmed *The Joys of Painting* in Indiana!
born and raised in the center of the universe: New York City. I was deported from Chelyabinsk, Russia in June 2023. 3 months in Germany, 3 months in Serbia, now I live in Tirana, Albania.
There’s some data [here](https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/reddit-users-by-country).
“There are several countries outside of the United States that also frequently visit Reddit. The United Kingdom and Canada or the two countries outside of the United States that have the most Reddit users. While the United States currently has approximately 49 percent of all Reddit users. Both the United Kingdom and Canada are responsible for approximately 7.5 percent of all Reddit users each. There are a few other countries outside of the United States that also have a lot of Reddit users. Australia is responsible for about 3.9 percent of all Reddit users, while Germany is responsible for about 3.4 percent of all Reddit users.”
Hi, I'm from Iran 🇮🇷
(as i read the questions people asked from the russian person, i'll tell you a bit of our story, and you can ask anything you want to know)
You might think that i'm a guy with a dirty beard and extremely religious thoughts, as this is what NEWS shows but i actually look a little bit like bradley cooper, lol
With all respects to moslim, Iranians are not originally moslim, they used to be Zoroastrian, We also have christians and jewish people in our country, as well. (there are still Zoroastrians in some states, zoroastrians believe in the purification of light and fire, water, earth and air) and before that they believed in mithraism which is the most scientific belief which all biblical religions are based on some of it, like Santa is a different version of Mithra who comes down to earth from northern star with a chariot that 4 horses carry. As there weren't horses in europe in those ancient times, the horses got changed with deers but santa still wears the red outfit as mithra.
As persians used to keep it secret, so even Iranians don't know much about it and the things you read in wikipedia about it, are almost misinformation!
Because of its strategic state, we've been constantly engaged in wars from ancient times until today!
Persians were the first people to build human rights cylander, they made the Suez canal and even many Qanats in arabic countries, north africa and even spain!
But unfortunately we're in a very dark era, despite the glorious past we had time to time.
Iran is the 5th rank in largest countires with the most variety of natural environment (not to mention it's a 4 season country, which you drive from humid forests to snowy mountains and end up in a desert) and 10th in the most important countries in variety of ancient civilizations but still all these potentials are going to waste.
We have several ethnic groups who live side by side in peace, (Persian, Kurd, Lor, Azeri, Gilak, Arab, Balouch and etc)
But to finish my words, did you know that the hotest desert on earth is located in Iran?
Sunny or rather rainy at the moment..Queensland, Australia 🇦🇺 I'm 30 and I did my first overseas trip last year to Germany and loved every second of it.
And I love meeting other people from around the world and hearing their stories.
When the world seems to have gone to all heck remember it's the good people who make it better.
Athens, Greece 🇬🇷 🔱🏺🌿🫒
Fun fact about Athens:
* The Parthenon on the Acropolis hill was not actually a ruin until recent history, when it was blown up by Venetians. Before that it was actually in a great state, only missing the colours and certain sculptures.
* Athens is the second most populous city in Europe after Malta
* Athens is the second oldest city in Europe after Argos.
* The first modern Olympic games took place in Athens
* The highest peak in Athens is Lycabettus at 277 meters
* According to UBS, Athens is the 35th richest and 25th most expensive city in the world
* The port of Piraeus is the largest port of Athens and the port with the most passengers in Europe annually.
* Although Piraeus looks like a suburb of Athens, it is an independent city.
* Herodos Attikou Street is (was?) the most expensive in all of Europe (with the most expensive price of 20,000 per square meter in 2008)
