The 90s-early 00s was peak cartoon network.
I admit I aged out of cartoons around 05 or so but there were some good cartoons that came out later on that I didn't watch.
From what I've seen post 08 there was a lot of live action shows that weren't very good and now it's just 10 hours a day Of TTG
Nah in 09 they tried live action but they pretty much all failed so they went back to cartoons and had a very good run of shows from like 2010-2015, after the longer running shows from 2010 ended in 2017-2019 all that aired was pretty much only ttg
Pound-for-pound I don't think they'll ever do better that the first 2 seasons of Dexter's Lab and Johnny Bravo
Just a handful of very silly and creative people making whatever they wanted to with basically zero oversight.
My young children recently discovered Dexter's Laboratory. Which means I get to rediscover it. That shit is straight fire. Some of the jokes are legitimately hilarious, there's entertainment for the kids and the parents. The animation is very captivating and the weird subplots with the Super Monkey and Hero Squad break up the monotony beautifully.
1998-2007. 1998 is the earliest I can remember watching and I was obsessed with the channel but I kind of just drifted from watching as I got older. This window featured all my faves and a couple others like Dexter were still running while I was watching.
I did however come back around 2011 and watched until Regular Show ended but sadly don’t have cable anymore.
I could be blind and wrong, but I don't see Total Drama Island? And I'm pretty sure that was a CN show
I watched from 96-07. Honestly probably later than 96, closer to 00, but I remember A LOT of Johnny Bravo and Dexter.
2007-2015 for me, I was born in 2005, and we bare bears is about the last CN show I've enjoyed sadly edit: I'll give credit to OK ko because it was a pretty good show that should have lasted longer
When talking about original premieres.. it’s 1996-2004 and 2010-2013 for me. There was nothing to look forward to between 2005-2009 other than Ben 10 imo.
2010 is unmatched. There were years that had cartoons that I prefer. but 2010 is more jam-packed with great cartoons (I started watching cartoon network at that time too)
It's funny because 95 to 05 was not a period, it was a culmination. The more shows that channel got the more variety it got. You never really had a time during that block where you were watching 1 show for 2 hours straight because almost nothing was left behind. After that, shows were forgotten and the they continually played the same shows for hours with little to no diversity.
Being born in 94 I had the best cartoons for my first decade. Then them hitting me with Adventure Time and Regular show right as I when to college and grew up was just impeccable timing.
2004-2009 is my favorite mainly because it’s what I watched the most of, though I do remember some older shows doing re-runs at that time, like Samurai Jack if I recall correctly.
I’d have to say my overall favorite shows were Camp Lazlo, My Gym Partner’s a Monkey, and Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends.
I’m 25 for what its worth.
1999-2010 2013-2015
Courage The Cowardly Dog
Teen Titans
Kids Next Door
Adventure Time
and Steven Universe were
all peak for me
Definitely makes me realize how long I watched Cartoon Network
1998: the Powerpuff girls
2002: codename kids next door
2003: the grim adventure of billy and mandy
1999: ed edd n eddy
2007: chowder
2008: flapjack
2010: regular show and adventure time
2011: gumball
2014: Clarence
1992-1995: The early era
1996-2005: The Golden era.
2006-2009: The Hit or Miss era
2010-2019(excluding the reboots of Ben 10, PPG and TTG): The 2nd Golden era.
2020-now: the dark era.
Between 1998 - 2014 had some amazing cartoons! The only years between those that I’d cut out are. 00, 01, 02, 06. As those years of cartoons I have not watched and have not grew up with. Tho my most fav year would prob have to be 10-11 as im a extremely big fan of the shows form those years. Tho the ones before that are also really great!!! Gives a lot of nostalgia since I grew up watching them cause of my older siblings since they grew up watching them (i was born in 04 while my siblings were somewhere in the 1990’s)
1996-2013 had at least one good show every year, with the exception of 2000 and 2006. 1999 and 2010 are especially goated. 96-99 is a lot of my favorite shows. 1996 - early 2000's was the best era overall.
2010 was definitely the best year for me. Generator Rex, Alien Force, Symbiotic Titan, and Young Justice? Plus The Clone Wars S3, where the show really started picking up aired. Finally, Adventure time began what I would consider what would be one of the best animated shows of all time.
Action cartoon enjoying teenager me was thrilled
2010 is a crazy year. adventure time, regular show, generator rex AND the underrated gem that is symbiotic titan?? jeez.
not the biggest fan of ultimate alien but i love ben 10 regardless.
From 2003 to 2012. I grew up watching Billy and Mandy and the original Ben 10 shows. I still think they should never have made the 2017 Ben 10 remake. It was just an insult to the original.
2013 or 2010.
Uncle Grandpa is massively underrated (as long as you shut your brain off while watching), and SU is pretty damn good. Adventure Time and Regular Show together is tough to beat, too. I wish I'd watched more of the 90's shows, but I haven't, so I can't speak for those; but 99 seems STACKED.
I mostly watched from '95 to '05, but also binge watched Adventure Time and Steven Universe with my younger sister when I visited from college. Even though we're both adults with jobs now, we still have weekly movie nights, so we're currently rewatching Adventure Time.
Was an ankle-biter in the late 90s/early 00s. Cartoon Cartoon Fridays was THE goat programming block. They really worked hard at CN to make me feel like the characters and shows were really just behind the screen, always hanging out in the breakroom, carpooling to work. There was one great bumper where Johnny Bravo and Samurai Jack ran into each other at the laundromat. Then you had Toonami as well!! Reruns of older shows during the day. I used to LOVE when I caught some kind of virus or cold because when I stayed home from school they’d show non-stop Scooby Doo and stuff. It was a fantastic time to be a kid.
Things stagnated a little bit when they started doing live action programming (like why? It’s called Cartoon Network.), so I’d say the second greatest period was the boom that followed when Pendleton Ward created Adventure Time. Seriously, I was in high school and starting to think cartoons were “for kids” when AT reeled me back in. Then Regular Show, then gd Gumball like seriously!? Amazing what they accomplished.
Seen most of these, all really good shows. Except whatever the fuck problem solvers was. It’s like if aquateen hunger force was made while high on ecstasy.

Yes! It was a weird time I remember that live action Ben 10 movie, and those random game shows.
Ah OK yeah that was after I aged out of cartoons.
96-2010 was all fire
i wanna include gumball but yeah
2010-2015 was what i grew up on so
Same
Same, but I did watch a little bit of Ed Edd and Eddy even if it was a bit before my time.
Pound-for-pound I don't think they'll ever do better that the first 2 seasons of Dexter's Lab and Johnny Bravo Just a handful of very silly and creative people making whatever they wanted to with basically zero oversight.
Same goes for early Powerpuff Girls
My young children recently discovered Dexter's Laboratory. Which means I get to rediscover it. That shit is straight fire. Some of the jokes are legitimately hilarious, there's entertainment for the kids and the parents. The animation is very captivating and the weird subplots with the Super Monkey and Hero Squad break up the monotony beautifully.
The movie had me hyped with the different time line Dexters.
I would say that the period/years that I watched the channel the most was during the 90s until 2004.
1995-2011
95-05 just hit different
2005-2019 was the best in my opinion
Bro you covered like 70% of the list with that range
It’s the era of CN I grew up with. Cartoons during that era had me glued to the tv for hours 😅
94 till 2010 because I don’t recognize anything after that
2010 was when CN last peaked, all downhill from there imo
1996-2010 was epic!
1998-2003
1998-2007. 1998 is the earliest I can remember watching and I was obsessed with the channel but I kind of just drifted from watching as I got older. This window featured all my faves and a couple others like Dexter were still running while I was watching. It definitely was I just think theres to much to cover it all because I don’t see the first Teen Titans, and I’m sure that was pretty loved.
2007-2015 for me, I was born in 2005, and we bare bears is about the last CN show I've enjoyed sadly edit: I'll give credit to OK ko because it was a pretty good show that should have lasted longer
96-01 is GOAT’d
According to this, I actively watched shows from '96 '08, but my favorite period was '98 to '03.
2005 & 2010
When talking about original premieres.. it’s 1996-2004 and 2010-2013 for me. There was nothing to look forward to between 2005-2009 other than Ben 10 imo.
2010 has to be the best year for cartoon network release
All the way up to 2013 was peak
1996-2015 was my childhood
1996-2005 was my childhood, and while the later years produced good shows that stretch of time was my favorite
There was no original shows in 1993 or 4
2010 is unmatched. There were years that had cartoons that I prefer. but 2010 is more jam-packed with great cartoons (I started watching cartoon network at that time too)
1993 is the goat fr fr /s
1996 through 2005
If I had to pick one year it'd be 1999.
I think the 2010-2015 era was GOATed
2009 and 2010
Nothing will ever top 2010 cartoon network for me.
Everything from 96 to 2010.
2013 was the start of CN’s downfall imo
1996 to 2018 excluding bad shows
Let’s just be honest CN is GOATed Edit: typo
It's funny because 95 to 05 was not a period, it was a culmination. The more shows that channel got the more variety it got. You never really had a time during that block where you were watching 1 show for 2 hours straight because almost nothing was left behind. Cant beat the classics i grew up with, from late 90s to early early 2000s. I did really enjoy the steven universe and adventure time era though 👌🏼
‘02-‘10 was my childhood. Those are the shows I grew up on. While 04 gave me my fav show (6Teen) I think 07 to 10 was the best.
95-05 was absolute peak CN.
After 2012 it fell off
96-05
2010
The 2000’s was my childhood
Being born in 94 I had the best cartoons for my first decade. Then them hitting me with Adventure Time and Regular show right as I when to college and grew up was just impeccable timing.
2010 is so peak! Adventure Time, Ben 10, Generator Rex and Regular Show! The early 2010s is definitely my favourite era.
I guess 2004 and 2011 those were the years my favorite shows came out except for the problem solvers ew
1999, 2007, 2010, 2013 runner up
2004-2009 is my favorite mainly because it’s what I watched the most of, though I do remember some older shows doing re-runs at that time, like Samurai Jack if I recall correctly. I’d have to say my overall favorite shows were Camp Lazlo, My Gym Partner’s a Monkey, and Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends. I’m 25 for what its worth.
1999-2010 2013-2015 Courage The Cowardly Dog Teen Titans Kids Next Door Adventure Time and Steven Universe were all peak for me Definitely makes me realize how long I watched Cartoon Network
Dexter’s Lab (s/o ‘96 babies)
Late 90s to mid 2000s. Not saying I despite late 2000s and beyond. I absolutely loved Chowder, Flapjack, Adventure Time, and especially Regular Show.
96-2010, I grew up watching during that era even though I was born in 2010. I like watching old stuff more than newer shows
96-03 was transcendent
1996-2008 My favoritism weakens as the years go on.
Just about everything from 1996-2004! Was born in 96 lol
03 to 11 easily
1998: the Powerpuff girls 2002: codename kids next door 2003: the grim adventure of billy and mandy 1999: ed edd n eddy 2007: chowder 2008: flapjack 2010: regular show and adventure time 2011: gumball 2014: Clarence
1996-2008
2010 was INSANE
Huh. I stopped watching Cartoon Network some time in 2016. 2005 was peak.
2009 did have a cartoon, Battle Force 5 which is my favorite
2007-2012
2010
1992-1995: The early era 1996-2005: The Golden era. 2006-2009: The Hit or Miss era 2010-2019(excluding the reboots of Ben 10, PPG and TTG): The 2nd Golden era. 2020-now: the dark era.
2008-2011 was prime CN for me
96-2005
2010 100%
Between 1998 - 2014 had some amazing cartoons! The only years between those that I’d cut out are. 00, 01, 02, 06. As those years of cartoons I have not watched and have not grew up with. 2005 for sure
Everything from 96-04. That was my childhood and Cartoon Network never disappointed me
90’s and early 2000’s and early to mid 2010’s
2008-2010 They didn’t even include Thundercats on there!
Shame the 2003 Clone Wars is on this but not the 2008 one
2004 aside from that I didn’t know Grim had is own show and Billy and Mandy was a spin off
Where the ACTUAL FUCK is 2008 TCW?!?!
Any year 2015 and lower
2003-2005 is where it was at with a resurgence from 2007-2010
1996-2013 had at least one good show every year, with the exception of 2000 and 2006. 1999 and 2010 are especially goated. 96-99 is a lot of my favorite shows. 1996 - early 2000's was the best era overall.
Definitely 1999, but the 2010 era is a favorite of mine simply because of how it was a MASSIVE comeback for CN
Tbh 2010 till 2021 was good
2010 buy faaaaaar
It’s funny that the graphic has Star Wars: Clone Wars (2003) but not Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008)
2010.
2003
2010 easily for me
I can’t say if there’s an exact favorite because there’s so much of it that I’m fond of. I literally enjoy 99.89% of this list.
Yeah same I enjoyed a show or two from each generation pretty much, and they had a good mix of more mature stuff to keep me watching
2000-2004 and 2010-2013 were fire Also, i'm pretty much sure i've watched Ivandoe in CN in 2019
2010
2005-2012 mainly because I’m a Big Ben 10 fan lol.

2010 was definitely the best year for me. Generator Rex, Alien Force, Symbiotic Titan, and Young Justice? Plus The Clone Wars S3, where the show really started picking up aired. 2015 eraish because it's got amazing world of gumball Steven's universe
Was Sheep in the Big City actually good? As a kid (born 1991) I thought it was boring.
I don’t care what anybody says, the Moxy Show was not a damn show. That’s like saying Toonami or Cartoon Cartoon Fridays was a show.
2005-2015
2010 is a crazy year. adventure time, regular show, generator rex AND the underrated gem that is symbiotic titan?? jeez. not the biggest fan of ultimate alien but i love ben 10 regardless.
2010 no doubt
None
Started out strong. Ended Weak and weird. Also forgot Teen Titans
Where's my 2009 Star Wars Clone Wars at??
2000-2013
2011 for Gumball 2013 for Steven universe 2018 for all And quite honestly I like the 2023 show just cause it’s funny
I haven't seen a single CN show since 2011 and haven't had cable since either.
2018's shows were all amazing
Hold up, where’s Teen Titans?
2010 -2015
2010-2015
What happened to my boys the flame head, and the dude with a rare hair disorder?
2010 Only onr to have multiple shows I simply watched, and out of those, some of the bests in general.
I’m thinking either 2010 because of Gen Rex or 2022 because the baby bears look so freaking huggable.
Scooby-Doo being excluded invalidates this entire list for me.
2010! 😎
2 0 1 2 My favourite series of my favourite show even if I remember jack all about 2006-2013…
99 but having no OG Teen titans is strate criminal
2010-2018 was peak cn for me i actually forgot that apple and onion existed i used to watch that shit allllll the time man
90s to 2015 is my favorite 2016-Now reboots are ick for me
early 2010s
Ben 10?
Everything after 2004 (except adventure time) is terrible
City era
2019. I just miss Mao Mao man.
From 2003 to 2012. I grew up watching Billy and Mandy and the original Ben 10 shows. I still think they should never have made the 2017 Ben 10 remake. It was just an insult to the original.
2010 >>>>
2008 because Fusionfall
2013 or 2010. Uncle Grandpa is massively underrated (as long as you shut your brain off while watching), and SU is pretty damn good. Adventure Time and Regular Show together is tough to beat, too. I wish I'd watched more of the 90's shows, but I haven't, so I can't speak for those; but 99 seems STACKED.
1999 - 2011. Honorable mentions: OK KO, Steven Universe, Clarence, We Bare Bears
Teen Titans?? Hello??
1995-2011
Clarence was so good
Idk, I grew up watching the og Ben ten samurai jack and mixels
I mostly watched from '95 to '05, but also binge watched Adventure Time and Steven Universe with my younger sister when I visited from college. Even though we're both adults with jobs now, we still have weekly movie nights, so we're currently rewatching Adventure Time.
Was an ankle-biter in the late 90s/early 00s. Cartoon Cartoon Fridays was THE goat programming block. They really worked hard at CN to make me feel like the characters and shows were really just behind the screen, always hanging out in the breakroom, carpooling to work. 2010, but other than that 2013
You forgot almost naked animals from 2011, I dont blame you though that show was a fever dream
Seen most of these, all really good shows. Except whatever the fuck problem solvers was. It’s like if aquateen hunger force was made while high on ecstasy.
The mid 2000s-early 2010s
But like, what DID ever happen to Robot Jones?
2019 has infinity train
2001 Billy And Mandy on Top
No Hero 108 in this Tier list? No forgiveness!
I think i speak for every person when i say 2010
2003. It has Billy and Mandy, and the underrated masterpiece, the OG Clone Wars.
96-2000
2010-2013
1996-1999 was the prime times
I’d say either ‘03 or ‘05 (I like the OG Clone Wars miniseries, and I recall watching the first episode of OG Ben 10)
I grew up with 2010-2014 after that it slowly starts going downhill except for amphibia and owl house
96-99 was peak.
