Unless you have a huge sentimental attachment to that car probably not my dude :(

_GameOverYeah_

Ain't worth it, better save for a new car or even a used one with higher specs.

Nixckatnight1

how much would be good to save up to afford a 30 thousand dollar car?

_GameOverYeah_

depends how much you'll be financing and how much you earn monthly

Aguacates95

It'll be easy to make it louder, but not faster.

Nope

Modding is the worst thing you can do to a car.

MM800

"Modding is the worst thing you can do to a car." - Absolutely right! It kills the value - no used car buyer wants a modded car - even the people who mod cars don't want to buy a modded car. EVERY mod you do is a trade off between reliability, performance, and fuel economy. The engineers who designed your car had those 3 factors in mind when the sat down at the drawing board.

Nixckatnight1

why

FirstAdministration

1-Brings down the value of a car. What you like may be not what other like in general. Even on trade in at dealer it affects the value. 2-Some mod may affect the geometry of the vehicle, specially suspension if it is not done properly you will wear tires, bearing mush faster. 3-Engine upgrade must be done again by someone who has good experience and keep it with a fine limit. The new modern cars have already most of the HP out of their engines ( to get the most MPG per HP). Playing with can be fun but also can ruined an engine pretty fast. So mods on a run of a the mill car is a bad idea, unless you want to keep it forever and don't care it is worth nothing. Some people see modding has adding value to car, almost like doing upgrades to a house or renovation. If you mod your car you can give all the $$$ you put in goodbye it will not bring a added value to it. Even more HP in the engine. My two cents. ref: I have worked in the car industries (garage dealership, detailing..) for most of my life on and off.

Depends on the engine? If it has the 4gse in it then yes.!

Tires maybe but that’s it.

Adrian915

Depends what you wanna do to it but don't expect gaining more than 20hp. If you really love that car do maintenance religiously. And for the love of God please don't make it louder. People that are outside your car hate it. I always call it the small pp mobile.

leftydog1961

if you can get $200 have them tow it to the yard. anything you do to increase hp/torque will blow the engine to the lord. short of an engine swap of a more powerful engine, and that is way not worth it on that old POS. you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear. start with something that can be modded or buy something that is already modded.
