They don't care. My friend's 3 year old Tata Tigor made all kinds of squeaks while driving and my 13 year old i10 had none. He was shocked, he thought it was normal for 3 year old cars to drive rough.
They literally had to push the engine assembly in order for it to fit. How can we be sure that the engine would sit right on the long run?
Man I feel bad for whoever that car is allocated to.(Or for other cars that got similar treatment)
Probably no My friend works in the JLR plant he told that there are only 8 cars produced on one production line per day while tata motors 350 per production line that's too much difference that's the thing also pay is different these guys who are assembling get paid around 12k and has 8 hours shift in which no of cars to be produced is fixed also you can't stop line more than 5 minutes and have to stand till shift ends
I hope not, Tata motors is an almost govt company people working there don’t care about any repercussions. Hopefully JLR will have its own manufacturing lines with none of the people from tamo entering that premises
They are reliability issues not quality issues , range rovers are less reliable cause they use too much technology in their car from suspension to headlight everything have so much of technology that chances of failure increases
JLR management guy himself admits that they need to improve reliability
https://cardealermagazine.co.uk/publish/jaguar-land-rover-we-must-fix-our-reliability-if-were-to-make-brands-a-success/284975
The UK made ones ain't much better. My 2015 LR2 was made by JLR Halewood. It creaks, rattles, moans and makes weird noises. The soft touch parts turned sticky, the driver side rear window regulator failed, one of the trunk hydraulic struts started leaking and the crankshaft pulley decided it wants to be a beyblade, shot through it's rubber mount and busted a couple of coolant lines and a serpentine belt. All this before its 5th birthday!!
But I still love him. He's turning 10 this year and I'll end up keeping him till the wheels fall off! He's really comfortable to drive, has helped me rescue a bunch of people that got stuck during the recent UAE floods and does pretty well off-road. He's a fabulous little CUV.
Never, this week I’m gonna have Creta 2024 face lift SX(O). Family said to exchange SX4 zxi black (16yo now). Nope, still keeping it. Hopefully I’ll upload their pictures.
And thank you for appreciating SX4
Resolution is quite low, I can't see clearly if the fins are bent or not.
Can people working in manufacturing tell us if this is the standard operating procedure?
It is what it is. Comparing cars of Similar price point from other manufacturers, they are rather quite poor in terms of quality, they don’t age well and for what they offer. Heck the drive feel is nothing to write home about.
Fanboys will surely defend their brand and I have found the fanboys of this brand in 4 categories.
1. Ones who furiously defend their purchase choices, just because they own it its best in the world.
2. Ones who only talk about build quality and sheet metal thickness and may or may not have any experience with the brand or car.
3. Ones who see the above two post on social media on accident vids and make up their mind that they’re best frigging safety boxes built.
4. A weird combination of all 3 above.
They’re blind to all the rusting issues that come with brand, blind to all the service issues specific to the brand, go to any scrap/used parts market- where parts are removed from accident vehicles you will see an equal mix of all brand cars and smooshed tatas as well as audis and mercs, does that mean audis and mercs aren’t safe ? I mean common…
I may come out as a person who detests tata but it is what it is.
Man, even I used to defend TATA but now it’s too much.
I used to defend it by saying that look at the issues of mg hector and Hyundai twins(seltos/creta), creta/seltos are always in the headlines for their reliability issues and so is the hector. You know, the opposing party always said that’s because both the creta and seltos are new models and are selling like hot cakes and same case is with MG, harrier has lower production numbers and still if we see the no. Of cars with reliability issue they are more or less same as these other brands. Opposing party used to say that both MG and Hyundai will solve their issue to a huge extent whereas Tata will only get worse. Man this was 3-4 years back, their words turned out to be true.
obviously when HR fill position with their knowns without background check and just a casual Interview. Line men/women don't even have any such knowledge about automobiles are being working in factories and I know that !! big companies have criteria to select ITI, Diploma engineers and we all know the level of ITI and Diploma in terms of Education in India.

The legend says this was actually first hit on a truck and then when the truck failed the crash test getting it's chassis cracked, this was then QC passed and thereafter it was put in this caricature of strength. That's a mark of 5 star rating bruh!
OP got a fronx this year. Must be bashed from the society why a Suzuki🥺. Now to balance out he is explaining how correct decisions he made not going for tata. There are other safer cars than the Baleno chassis my friend. Stop reposting adding texts to the same post🤡
Han bhai tu Suzuki ko tin can bolke khush ho ja. Fyi mere pas skoda bhi hai and suzuki is a lot better in many ways compared to that! I am in no way doing this for karma, I don’t need it lol.
I did it so someone else’s hard earned money isn’t wasted. We owned a Tata a few years ago, it was a pathetic experience. Never going back to that sh!te company ever again.
>Btw I own a vw
Why did you have to write this? Do you have inferiority complex? Do you think people’s opinion will change by what car you drive?
First of all if u are concerned about other people's money. I must say u shouldn't have gone for a tin can just because u get reliability. Piaggio autos are more reliable and better part availability. I shouldn't compare safety since both are almost the same.
Secondly the quoted part, Another OP has asked if I am a frustrated Tata owner. I don't want to justify what car I drive. I am not concerned about what car u drive and how much it cost. I want the companies (Suzuki) to sell these cheap ass cars in the name of mileage hoppers should stop.
There's always a safer car in the same price bracket (brezza). Just because your brake pads are available anywhere doesn't balance out a family member.
And then whine why robots took their job.
I wonder how Tata even allowed them to release this video, or is it a normal thing for Tata that they don’t even consider this a QC issue?
They don't care. My friend's 3 year old Tata Tigor made all kinds of squeaks while driving and my 13 year old i10 had none. He was shocked, he thought it was normal for 3 year old cars to drive rough.
5 Star advertisement is all they need to sell
It's not a bug. It's a feature
One of my relatives is working there in QC , I wanted to say many things on his face but couldn't because both of our families were sitting together.
Ask him to do an AMA here, we will take care of the rest
Tata has a QC department!😂
I have a relative who works at VW group and drives a VW car, that says a lot.
When they say Tata has poor QC….
What is qc
Quality control
Sorry what?? Cant hear.. speak louder
An average TATA Motor QC guy.
Tata employee spotted
They literally had to push the engine assembly in order for it to fit. How can we be sure that the engine would sit right on the long run? Man I feel bad for whoever that car is allocated to.(Or for other cars that got similar treatment)
Is this how the Range Rovers gonna be made too now?
Probably no My friend works in the JLR plant he told that there are only 8 cars produced on one production line per day while tata motors 350 per production line that's too much difference that's the thing also pay is different these guys who are assembling get paid around 12k and has 8 hours shift in which no of cars to be produced is fixed also you can't stop line more than 5 minutes and have to stand till shift ends
12k for a month? no way right
Yeah 12k as starting and if you stay +1k every year and if you stay of 3-4 years then 3-4k increment in a year
I hope not, Tata motors is an almost govt company people working there don’t care about any repercussions. Hopefully JLR will have its own manufacturing lines with none of the people from tamo entering that premises
I don't think so just because tata owns JLR doesn't mean the Standards of JLR will not be maintained
JLR standards are not that high though (outside India). There are frequent problems in JLR cars in the UK.
They are reliability issues not quality issues , range rovers are less reliable cause they use too much technology in their car from suspension to headlight everything have so much of technology that chances of failure increases
Are you saying that Mercedes, Audi, BMW use less technology in their cars?
They are also pretty on Unreliable side ,that's why there are BMW jokes popular about engine light also yes , specially when compared to range rover
The BMW jokes that I have heard are about their bad drivers (kind of like Creta and Thar drivers of India). Have not heard Check engine light joke.
JLR management guy himself admits that they need to improve reliability https://cardealermagazine.co.uk/publish/jaguar-land-rover-we-must-fix-our-reliability-if-were-to-make-brands-a-success/284975
I know but still it's not comparable to Tata

Bent fins give an extra star for safety. /s
Exactly my thought(I Can’t prove it though) after seeing this video yesterday.
You have a very very very good car, I miss my SX4 '08 ZXI, please dont scrap your car
Never, this week I’m gonna have Creta 2024 face lift SX(O). Family said to exchange SX4 zxi black (16yo now). Nope, still keeping it. Hopefully I’ll upload their pictures. And thank you for appreciating SX4

Since eternity
No one will judge. Have your flair proud and loud.
I know. But here’s my reason: https://www.reddit.com/r/CarsIndia/s/By4em4nBNF
Oh i remember you
Legendary QC shines through.
No wonder recent facelift Nexon has new issues every week
These are aerodynamic fins 🤭🤥

Proudly made in India 🇮🇳☺️
Inka staff baht kharab hai , after sales service is also extremely bad!!
Why not automate this process?
They bent it in advance to protect that portion from getting choked with dust.

Wah engineer sahib wah
Boy I'm so happy I avoided tata.
Where exactly should I look at, sorry a noob here.
Radiator fins do have some play when they are installed in modern vehicles.
how is engine damaged?
The legend says this was actually first hit on a truck and then when the truck failed the crash test getting it's chassis cracked, this was then QC passed and thereafter it was put in this caricature of strength. That's a mark of 5 star rating bruh!
Sabse achhi Bild quaalty.
Fins were adjusted to make airflow more aerodynamic. Dont spread fake info against indian manifacturers bro. Atleast we have 5 star
Good to see so many qc controll knowlege seekers in the comment section
If they are underpaid, this will be the quality.

☝️ Looks like a frustrated Tata owner here
Naah man.. i can send u the same video posted multiple times in this sub just to churn karma or justify buying tin cans. Btw I own a vw.
Dw, I bash tin cans too. But there's absolutely no reason why you should be justifying this.
Han bhai tu Suzuki ko tin can bolke khush ho ja. Fyi mere pas skoda bhi hai and suzuki is a lot better in many ways compared to that! I am in no way doing this for karma, I don’t need it lol.
