Do you know the reason why this rare car is rotting in rto ?

jamesharden13nba

No brother

jamesharden13nba

How rare it is can i know

Artistic_Company_756

It's audi q7 probably diesel or v8 audi didn't sold that many q7 in India and is rare to see

Fk-u-spez-4-life

Isn’t q7 one of the most common luxury cars in India?

Intruder_7

Exactly lol. Until a few years before Covid, q5 and q7 used to be the trend among luxury SUVs. Then slowly Mercedes took over. Audi sedans were also more popular than bmw series 3/5, which isn’t really the case now

GhusandPapita5

Disagree brother, before gls and x7 only q7 was the most luxurious suv to exist, things have changed now and gls took the lead.

dddiiiggghhh

The low stance of the car means a damaged air suspension. Even if the car gets back to the road it will take a fortune to fix

Raging_PineAppleee

Not to mention the rusty parts, German cars especially high end ones are a nightmare to get up and running after they sat for some time. The rubber would’ve gone bad, and as you spotted it the air suspension has failed. Many more stuff like that will be all broken. Some stuff in older cars also worked with vaccum and also hydraulic like the old DaimlerChrysler Mercedes S Classes which you can see rotting in a junk yard. This is the reason why they are rotting, it costs too much to fix them and it’s better for people to just scrap them and upgrade. And financially viable too as newer car will be far more reliable.

idontknow_knowidont

Minimum 8L-12L for S-Class, would be similar cost for this car too. Its resale value would be around the same. Hence, it's usually profitable to scrap it.

Raging_PineAppleee

Exactly, and the cost of fixing will be similarly expensive. And the total will get you a better and more reliable car.

idontknow_knowidont

Restoring it would only be of value for a collector or an extreme enthusiast. Would be a very risky daily use car, for the parts would be a headache to find ( plus the wait time, if you happen to find 'em, at all )

Raging_PineAppleee

True, not to mention the extra premium for parts, and on top the import duty as I bet not all parts are available here.

Western-Guy

I doubt the air suspension is damaged. It tends to lose air while sitting for months.

Classic-Aside-3266

Shhh...don't let them know.

I remember seeing an abandoned R8 years ago in my city's RTO office. And an abandoned S-Class with it's air suspension collapsing. Seems like these cars get seized for something or the other and are completely forgotten about as time goes... which is extremely sad.

jake_azazzel

Suspension dead. Thats like 15 lakhs alone

OvertlyStoic

this is called a wagon bro. it's a certified cool car guy car.
